I don't mind Himmelsdorf, but I hate Widepark with a passion. It's an ugly, poorly designed map, and it feels like it's hard work to play it.

You don't see Widepark much these days as I think it's for tiers 4 to 6 now.

It's OK; I've had some good games on there. One memorable one with a TOG platoon when I was in my VK3601. The TOGs were getting laughed at at the start, but between us we cleaned up.

It still seems to play up to tier 9 at least on the 360, I think I've even played against Xs on that map.

It always brings out the power donkeys though, so your win rate goes into the toilet.

Are you getting a free tier 2 "Type 97 Te-Ke" Japanese premium on the EU server? They are on the US & Russian.

I'm watching Quickybaby's 9.2 map changes video, man the PC version has some cool maps. Hidden Village looks amazing! I can't wait for the day, eventually, that WG implement the Asian tanks and the maps to go with them.

My love for WoT has stated to bleed into my life. I found myself in Asda earlier, facing a dilemma that they were sold out of red Coca Cola 30 packs. It would work out more expensive to buy the 8 packs to make up the same number of cans, but if I went for the 8 packs I could get vanilla and cherry Coke. I found myself standing there thinking "Slightly more expensive...but in a way, better...these premium Coke varieties are like gold rounds!" before proceeding to load my Tiger Tank (trolley) with gold rounds.

The asses of power are out already, think 9.2 has pulled them out. Dreadful night tonight, win rate around 30% despite 2700 or so WN8. Sometimes you just can't do enough...

Tank Wins AvgDmg WN8
Obj. 140 1/5 2,853 2,616
Indien-Pz 2/4 1,838 2,542
Caernarvon 1/2 2,204 3,879
E50M 0/1 1,238 749
IS-8 2/8 2,218 2,259
T25 AT 2/6 1,857 2,456

Just fail after fail, the only wins have been incredibly hard fought. Ah well, win rate isn't everything, the double xp will be nice to finish some grinds. Indien Panzer feels a hell of a lot better after it's little buff too.

Eu is getting the Type 97, yes, so thats nice too. It's always a free slot if it turns out not to be so strong.

That new version of prokhorovka was quite good I thought, i mean its rich calling it a new map but it had a good feel to it with the sound effects and planes whizzing around. The changes to El Halluf look ok too, had a good game on that. Sacred Valley is back and has had some interesting tweaks. All in all quite nice this patch, apart from the Donkey pulling.

My win rate has been going in the toilet recently anyway. Every day is like a weekend now what with schools being out etc.

At least with this weekend special I will be able to get the T62A on discount. That is what I was waiting for.

Also, with the FV215B being top of the tree it is the ideal time to start grinding my Conqueror seriously. Double xp for every win this weekend will really help that...assuming I can actually get a win boxedin

On the subject of WoT encroaching on real life. These days when a bad driver does something that pisses me off, instead of my usual rant I find myself thinking..."what a noob"

I need to take a break from this addiction getmecoat

Oh and yes, the free Japanese Te-Ke is also on the EU server

You will need the top 90mm gun before you become the scourge of tier 6. Getting your Hell Kitty camo'ed up will also help. Good camo crew, camo paint, camo net and binocs are what I go with. I use the speed to get into good stealth locations and then put that excellent camo to use sniping from stealth.

Once you are compromised, use that speed to GTFO and find a new sneaky spot to pour death into them again.

I will attach a replay of a Radley Walters game I had the other day on Murovanka if you want to see how to use stealth in a Hellcat...if I remember when I get home from work. I can't access wotreplays from work frown

EDIT: Here is the replay I promised...at last: http://wotreplays.com/site/1037547#murovanka-vonge...

The Hellcat really benefits from a good crew. The first time I played it I had a full camo crew with a first set of general skills as well. It was pretty deadly. I used free XP to get the top gun from the start. I wasn't going to play it without that.

Once I'd moved the crew on to the next tank I kept the Hellcat & put a new crew in. It's really not that OP now. The new crew don't even have sixth sense, which you really need on the majority of vehicles above tier 5. Especially squishy ones like the Hellcat. Most arty around that tier can one-shot you and boy do they know that.

I used a gun rammer, camo net & binocs, with camo paint too. For equipment I used a repair kit, med kit and 100 octane fuel, which adds a bit more speed & increases the dreadful turret traverse rate. I stocked up on a load when they were half price. The Hellcat doesn't really need a fire extinguisher because if it ever burns, you're screwed anyway.

I really liked the Indien Panzer, so it's good that they've buffed the aim time & reload speed. It was much better that the other tier 8 German medium, the Panther II before the buff anyway. More agile, better gun, quicker reload and decent gun depression too.

Here's a game I had with it. There's a nice brawl with a Panther II in this too.

On the US servers is x5 XP for the first win, not x2 for all wins.

I love catching Hellcat noobs out, a well played Hellcat can cause havoc, but I think that having such a good gun and being so fast, they allow noobs to shrug off the slow, heavy feeling of the game to a degree. I see an awful lot of people playing them like fast mediums. Of course, that is never going to go well when even tied 5s can comfortably pen them, and they don't have much hitpoints to play with.

It does if you don't delete all the old updates, nothing in the update folder is required even the current patch can go.

The grind to the top gun on the Kitty is painful and it's not an enjoyable tank without it imho. I love my Kitty with the top gun, camo, rammer and bins. Regularly come top of the table for damage and it has the speed to get round the map quickly once you get it moving. I don't find the slow turret traverse a problem personally, but then I turn the turret AND tank at the same time if something gets behind me unexpectedly and you can get a lock on them fast enough to survive in most situations I've found myself in.

Re: Ph casual clan

The tag PH is taken and allowable characters are letters underscores and hyphens, P_H and P-H are already taken, the charcter limit is 5, I'm Thinking _P_H_ or _PH_, maybe _PH or PH_, VBRJ is also free biggrin

As a clan name thinking TeamPH, I'd rather not use Pistonheads in it's full form as it might attract idiots, spammers and bot to the site.

I might be setting it up but I'm open to suggestions, opinions, bribery and beer.

Even though I don't think I can join, it has to be VBRJ!
