You should get a teamspeak channel organised for the clan to complete the experience, or something similar.
I am already in a clan or I would be happy to sign up as well. Its great fun. The new Stronghold mode could work well for you once you get things up and running. It is ideal for the more socially oriented clans.

Now PH can go pubstomping. Speaking of which, how big is the platoon size on the PC? It's limited to 3 players on the 360 for now. And further to that, how do you organise a pubstomp? Make 5 platoons and hope the MM puts you all on the same team? Seems pretty unlikely.
Yes it's 3 on the PC too. It used to be only 2, unless you had a premium account, but I think that is not the case anymore. 3 is all you need for a pubstomp, just 3 good players in overpowered tonks (Matilda, KV1-S etc). I have seen clans trying to get more into a battle than that by doing as you describe, I think the most I saw was 2 full 3 man platoons on one team and another 3 man on the other, all from the same clan. Forget which it was, but they were all 'green' players, it was a TX game and to be honest it didn't seem to have much effect although they were probably creasing up on teamspeak. It was pretty late at night though, with a low server population. With the 10's of thousands of people playing most peak times it would be hard to get in the same game reliably I should imagine.
I ground out the last 37K on the Black Prince yesterday to get the tier 8 Caernarvon. With all the fail teams it was harder than it should have been. My win rate in it dropped from 60 to 53%, but I'm just glad to see the back of it; It's so damn boring to play. I sold it once before as I just couldn't be arsed to play it an more at the time.

Caernarvon's ace once you have the top turret and gun, plays like a fat centurion 1 but with better Dpm and more effective frontal armour (sides and arse are poor though). If you already have the cent 7/1 then you already have the top gun too, which is handy. Its quite underrated it seems, so you can catch a lot of people out with the high rate of fire. Think i did the same with the BP one special weekend, like you say its just dull to play. I don't miss it at all.
Good, I know someone else who loves the Caernarvon too.
I researched the Centurion 7/1 last year, but just bought it yesterday along with the Caernarvon, since they were 15% off.
I always intended to play the Caernarvon first, as I figured I'd rather unlock the B barrel gun at tier 8, than 9. It's taken me this long to get up the British heavy tree. I've got the top turret thanks to free XP and will fit the suspension thingies until I can unlock the upgraded ones.

Caern is just nice to play. Quick aim time and turret traverse make going back to soviet stuff feel really clumsy.
Cent 7/1 is good with both top guns, but the 105 is like a laser. I struggled to influence games in the cent tho.
Conq is everything good about the above two but better in every way. The 120mm is a superb gun to play. I quite like the heavy FV as well, same gun and 7 sec reload, also very well armoured and a bit of a hull down monster.

The Caernarvon was a really enjoyable grind for me, in fact it didnt feel like a grind at all to the extent that I have kept the tank.
The Conqueror, with the top gun is a great tank too and has become my favourite tier 9 tank (for now). You won't regret the tortuous Churchill grinds once you get to the tier 8 and tier 9.
On the subject of pub stomping. 3 is the max platoon size but you can get more people together quite easily by doing Stronghold mode.
In Stronghold mode you field teams of 7 players at tier 6 or 10 players for tier 8 or 15 players for tier 10.
Ofcourse the downside is you are running into organised teams of players on the other size which can be of various quality.
The other advantage of Stronghold is that you can develop the stronghold to give ingame bonuses like extra xp or credits per battle.
Oh and for people worried about their stats, Stonghold battle stats are kept separately from your main stats so you wont derp those while figuring it all out.

I was delighted to finally get Ace tanker in the GW Panther last night. About 4 games before I finally elited and sold it.
Sacred Valley, south west start. I set up aiming east, zeroed in on a likely spot, checked the range "ooooh, 600m, 3 seconds flight time". A fraction of a second after everything was settled, a scout lit a Comet racing towards the reticle; it would have been rude to turn down the opportunity, so I let fly and one shot him about a minute in.
You could feel him restraining himself from bhing.
I one shot an SU-152 later on, and got another couple of kills and criplings, but the Comet set the tone for the game.

Nice one. You can usually tell early on with arty if the RNG is with you or not.
I got the Ace Tanker with the Panzer II yesterday with lots of spotting and a Top Gun on the Province map. It does seem to be a failteam magnet though. I think my win rate is about 42% with it.
I also got the Ace Tanker with the tier 2 Japanese light tank (the regular one, not the freebie) with 8 kills on the Mines map. I rammed the last victim to ensure the kill.

Is it me or has 6th sense been nerfed? Mine now only goes off when it feels like it and there have been plenty of occasions since 9.2 came out that I know I've been spotted and not a peep from it. It lead to me RQing this morning
I've had one or two where I've been shot before it's lit up... I was assuming it was due to failing Rule 2 of #42:How Not To Be Seen ( 1:02 for rule 2, but just watch it from the start ) and being shot blind, but maybe not...Gassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
