I got told to rack off when hiding next to a td on one map. Got 3 kills to his one but needed to move in to help defend base , couldn't make an impact in the brawl and died..
Spent free xp on turret and gun. It's an improvement but still such a vunerable tank. Have auto fire extinguisher now too...

Keep at it, you'll get there. I had a match in mine earlier, the MM screwed me and each team was 8 tier 9s and 7 tier 7s - quite why there were no 8s I don't know, but I felt like I was going to end up as cannon fodder. However, I still managed to do more than my hitpoints worth of damage and ended up in the top 5 on my team - not bad, especially when penning tanks 2 tiers up is no mean feat.Spent free xp on turret and gun. I've just bought the short 105mm gun and upgraded turret for the Tiger II, and I'm still struggling to deal out more than my HP in damage per game. The penetration bonus is nice, but the extra 150+ average damage per shot is a big lift, something about this gun seems to be blessed for me as I've been causing fires left, right and centre today. However, the MM is still trolling me hard, and I think in some 20+ games I've only been top tier once or twice. It seems that as soon as you get to tier VIII, you don't get to top tier often as you're required to make the numbers up in tier 9 and 10 games. Booo.
With the Tiger if you get into a brawling situation with most things Tier 6 and up you have to expect to lose HP's. But you have 1500, and a huge DPM, so the trick is to kill the opponent as quickly as you can, maximising the ROF of the long 88. Best option with it is to always let more armoured team mates engage first, then back them up. It's lethal then.
Tiger 2 you really have to keep the Lower Plate hidden, but it's never a great tank compared to the IS3 for example.
The tier 9 though, the E75, that thing is everything the Tiger 2 should be. Once it has the top gun it is an absoloute beast - easily for me the strongest tier 9 heavy and more than capable of holding it's own at tier 10.

Since the patch or the new Circon modpack I installed(not sure which one) I cannot get the players name to show on top of the tank during a battle even though in the game settings option is ticked.
Do you think this is a setting that can be fixed via the xvm editor ?
Have had a proper look and cannot see the option.

I've been watching the player cams on the IS-3 when my Tiger 2 goes out of matches, I can't get over how small it is for a tier 8 heavy. It's a very interesting looking tank, I may start working towards one of those for my collection soon. I was playing the KV-1 last night to make some money to buy parts for the Tiger 2, with the "Battle of Radyzmin" bonuses this weekend I was making 35,000-40,000 silver in every game. With the KV-1, I was back into the level of comfortably outdamaging my HP pool, multiple kills per game and carrying some games, include a 7 kill Top Gun. Feels so good.

As for in game comms, up to you guys if someone want to set up hosting for TS/vent etc
I've been doing a bit of research into this; there's a free Mumble hosting server available here (Guildbit) which can give us up to 10 players for up to 24 hours - so long as we're just randomly platooning (and that was easy and fun last night - I think we were winners in something like 5 out of 6 games last night, even if I did tend to die first each time ) that should be more than enough. Pros: free, anyone can set it up as and when, free and it's free
Cons: will take a couple of minutes to set up before getting into battle, the server location/password etc will have to be shared each time at the start of a platoon.
If the cons turn out to out-weigh the pros, I'm happy to pay for a small commercial mumble server - I can't see we'd need more than 6 or 9 channels in 2 or 3 groups for random platooning, so it wouldn't be expensive anyway.
So, folks, download the mumble client and we'll give it a bash. It's not always the easiest thing in the world to get working properly, but I'm sure all the Powerfully Built Company Directors will have no problems (or will get their secretaries to do it for them ).

My problem with it is I can't get it to stop showing enemy tanks in blue instead of red. For some reason he doesn't just enable colourblind mode in the game settings, he adjusts the colour settings via XVM. Do you think this is a setting that can be fixed via the xvm editor ?

In the previous patch I was able to change it in the XVM editor, but despite doing the same thing this time, it has no effect.
The Jellcat was supposed to be getting a nerf in 9.2 but didn't appear to do so in the update announcement. It sure as hell feels like it though.
Plus those of my tanks with 6th sense. Concur with that appears less sensitive too. Maybe it's just me but once spotted used to have time to get one round off. Now the instant it lights up you already have a round incoming or are already dead.

Not sure what I done in editor, hsall look and let you know.
Does anyone here play, or own the Löwe? I've been seeing them around in the odd game, trying to justify owning one etc. There is a deal on at the moment for August called the "Call of Cthu-Löwe" where they're selling a the tank plus 30 days of premium for 12,000. That sounds like a lot of cash, I suppose it is, but I love the look of thank and I often think about having one as a credit printer and crew trainer. I know it has a bad rep as a lot of wallet warriors buy them up and jump straight into tier 8 matches because the Löwe is one of the biggest, nastiest tanks you can buy from new, but with 2000+ games under my belt now I like to think I could play one without embarrassing the tank!
I've also been thinking about getting a TOGII for a laugh, though that's much cheaper at 3500 gold. Maybe I should just get a year of premium time and grind out non-premium tanks, and wait a few more months to buy a Premium...
Either way, thoughts on the big German prototype?

Asterix - done
Mastadon - I've never played the Lowe (or any other non-free premium for that matter) so can't comment directly - will say that I worry more about a T34 (US) than Lowe though - played hull down the T34 is a monster for it's tier
Same, I used to dread fighting T29s, there really just nothing at tier 7 that can shift one if they're fighting hull down, not even the top gun on the Jagdpanzer has a chance. However, much like the T34, they're squishy in the hull if you can get a shot. T34s are much the same again, except maybe not being quite so weak in the hull - they're definitely hull down monsters but I have seen quite a lot of players rolling them openly across maps, so maybe the disparity between turret and hull armour is not so great in the T34. I don't really fear the Löwe, they don't seem to be a standout tank, but I had thought that with the increased silver coefficient it has a premium tank that it might be a fun tank to play that is handy for increasing the bank balance. I've read that the JagdTiger 8.8 is meant to be a credit press, but tbh the long 88 just isn't enough of a gun against other tier 8 tanks, even if the JT8.8 gets preferential MM (not sure if it does or not), so I thought the Löwe might be more fun. I'm not a stats player - if I wanted to stat pad I'd simply run my KV-1 all the time, where I can comfortably get 1.5 kill/match and do more damage than my own HP, but as it is I just play for fun, win or lose it's usually a good time, unless the MM and RNG are really telling me to switch off and go outside.
