but eventually got some decent wins in for the x5 multiplier.
I managed to waste the x5 on my Hetzer on Saturday in a game where I didn't fire a shot paperbag

180k free XP off the weekend in the end. Was alright, as painful as expected, but manageable with the majority doe while platooning.

I think my best was a 9k XP game.

There's a few elited tanks left in my garage, but I think I'm done for the night.

After a few bad games Saturday, I have up, the x5 bonus brings out the muppets, and you spend far more games losing.

You can say that again I'm rubbish at the moment but was by no means the worst player in almost all of my games. There also seemed to be loads of idiots moaning on the chat.

Played for the first time since Dec 3 or thereabouts.

Got some good games in Saturday and managed to win gold by completing missions.

Still got shouted at as gold noob despite firing std ammo. Sigh it never gets better.

Yesterday couldn't hit a barn door and a shell magnet.

Played the JagdPanzer E100 on Karelia yesterday. Dished out over 6k damage and bounced over 13k potential damage. Held the Eastern flank like a boss...and still lost!

If my team could only have done a little more...just a little. They only had 2 tier 8s and an Arty left at the end, all of them one shot kills but I couldnt get back to save the cap. I was the last one standing.

Welcome to x5 weekends getmecoat

Must admit I have never come across a game like this for making the blood boil...and yeah the x5 type weekends tend to make it worse in that respect. Personal worst this weekend was watching a 3.5k damage game in the Tiger 1 end up as a draw because, despite the fact we had 2 in the cap to their 1 at the end, and would have capped out easily first, one of our stars decided to drive out of the circle to get behind a rock in the circle (I know, I know) because it was a safer position. The enemy had 1 tank left, and it was clearly in our cap on the other side of the map... it would have been a x5 too furious

I did end up having to take a break after that one, but overall a decent weekend and built up a nice stash of free xp, free gold and moved on some of the less fun grinds a nice chunk (Black Prince, AT2). Thanks WG, happy birthday WOT.

Think the x5's are still on tonight too, for those in the mood for more punishment nuts

Some numpty on the other team on Saturday ranting about noobs for ages until I one shotted him (side on at close range with a very big gun but standard ammo), he immediately typed "REPORTED!!!" in the chat window but I really couldn't be bothered to ask why. rolleyes

Seems to be the way - I had a game with 7 kills and 3k+ in my Tiger and my team still conspired to lose. Alternatively, managed to somehow get my T-29 one-shotted when I was top tier - spent the rest of the match cheering on the opposition by they were useless and that was my X5 game....

But then had a few Top Gun games that were also X5 hehe

I find tier 4-7 games are the best. I have an E-75 but it's an arty magnet :S

I've never come across a TOG II* player yet that can do anything good with this tank. I love seeing them as they're a great money earner. Having so much HP means I can wail on them and scoop up loads of silver, while the big galoot tries to avoid the fire and angle himself out of trouble as shell after shell lands on him, and he is helpless to respond.

Another tank I see and immediately think "easy prey", the Churchill line. Some tanks I've had real trouble with in the past - matches where I've bounced off AT-series tumours over and over and the RNG fks me over, but the Churchill line I always seem to decimate. I seem to do well against ATs these days in my German TDs, but the Churchill family get ripped to shreds, probably because they're big, easy to spot and slab sided, so they let shells through like water through a sieve.

Explains why it's taking me so long to get anywhere with my Churchill biggrin Front armour is great but I'm everlastingly getting tracked.

Never seen a TOG II* in the game but looking at the Wiki it seems like it would be ideal for providing cover for several other tanks to hide behind biggrin

TOGs aren't much cop when they're on their own but can be very effective in a platoon of two or three of them, they trundle across the battlefield like a single tank with a huge pool of health and put out a serious amount of DPM. But as you say, on their own, easy XP.

Same here not seen a decent player playing the Tog and am always waiting to see what the outcome is but always let down.
Watched a youtube video a while back with a pack of them and they trashed the opposition.
This weekend has been diabolical and it went past me that when it is x5 all the idiots seem to coame play so wondered what was going on.
Matter of fact at one time it passed my mind to pack the game in as it was getting beyond a joke.

A TOG on the hill crest in the valley on Lakesville backed up by a TD or two would make an iron wall that would be near impenetrable for some time, or blocking one of the sand bridges on the desert valley map with it's flanks protected by other tanks, they could be hard to shift. Usually I just see them lumbering about on their own trying to play like any other heavy tank.

Yeah TOG is a tank that pretty much only works in combination with other TOG's, where the DPM and HP pools add up to something fearsome. Solo they are just xp pinata's really. I alwasy struggle to see them beyond comedy value, to be honest, but thats probably the fault of seeing that Quickybaby TOG video where 3 of them went cliffdiving off of the Himmlesdorf castle. Always think of that when I see them now, makes it hard to take them seriously.

Like a lot of the british heavy line they are tanks that have relatively high rate of fire guns - but to get the best of them you need to be exposed to the enemy to keep shooting. The armour doesn't always tend to live up to that I find, which makes them hard to get the full benefit from. If you can get them in a position where the enemy isn't paying attention to them they can unload a lot of damage - although thats hard in a TOG as it is pretty much visible from everywhere.

The first churchill has it the worst I think, its turret has no proper mantle, so aiming at the enemy gives them a huge weakspot to shoot back at. That combined with the centrally mounted turret and elongated body makes it a sod to get round corners too, without getting shot / tracked. However did we win that war rolleyes

Sherman Firefly's and total & utter air supremacy hehe

I've seen TOG's in 3-up platoons a few times - very map-specific as to their use. Need pinch points and definitely no arty.
