Speaking of big booms, I've now got the BL-10 on my ISU. I should've got this a lot earlier, it's hilarious!

I'm getting the hang of troll gunning in the Cruiser II, I love being able to lob a shot over a crest at people who are waiting for you to pop your turret over the top. does the KV-2 have a slow/high enough arc to do that as well? got it researched but not enough cash at the moment.
I suspect not if you watch the vid I made a couple of pages back you can see that its a fairly flat trajectory even at range and the shell is much faster than the cruisers.

My go to tank for fun when not doing well in anything else is my M4 sherman with the 105mm, lost 5 out of 6 games at tier 8-9 last night so I got the M4 out.

6 Kills and top of the board!

Bloody KV1-S. Some days it's like a surgical tool, others, like today, it can't hit a barn-door with a banjo! 8 games plus in a row and averaging only 50% hit-rate, whereas normally I'd be up nearer 90%. Not even as if I am rushing my shots or trying to hit moving targets across the map.

RNG at it's finest smile. The RNG factor hurts the more innacurate guns the most I think, which is why on tanks like the KV1-S it feels so bad. What's weird is that, as you say, some days everything seems to go your way with them, and others nothing does. It's almost as if there is a global RNG roll when you log in that decides the extent to which RNG will mess with you each session.

Last time I saw someone in a KV-2 do that, I was sitting patiently waiting for the reticle to settle, in the SU-8.

So, about 5 seconds after his 'BOOOM', I was able to go 'BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM'.

It amused me, probably more than it amused him.
Happened more than once by various types of arty, though normally whilst I am wating for the gun to boresight.

Its why KV-2 drivers should take inspiration from the trolls in fairytales, and hide under bridges (or more often in WoT behind buildings, big rocks etc). That way the big guns are less likley to troll the troll hehe
I do prefer "The power of derp compels you!" instead of boom, for the KV-2. Shamelessly stolen for use in in the CII, from a KV-2 driver from a couple of years back. Works best in those games where the RNG is in your favour, and you one shot everything silly enough to be on the same map.

I fking hate the JPanther II. Stock, this tank is such a fking useless brick. It's enormous profile and piss weak armour means you stick out like a sore thumb on the map, the front is decently bouncy but it's so easy to flank, as Stevie Wonder could spot this tank and make a plan to sneak up on it. Mind you, it doesn't help that the majority of gutless s I play with would rather hide than fight, so if I get into a position where I can do some damage I could bet that 4/5 times, no one will sit with me to help defend the best shooting positions. That said, The JP2 can't do much damage as stock, as it's pathetic 105 gun can hardly penetrate the tier VIII tanks it generally comes up against, let alone the IXs and Xs which now regularly fill the battle rosters.

I've played and lost 6 matches in this heap of st tonight, I hate not being able to take part in a battle because I'm a giant target with no offensive capabilities. The JP1 started off the same but eventually became a beast with camo net, camo skill binoculars and the 105 gun (which on a tier VII is a good gun), but the JP2 grind is so depressing - I actually lose silver by gaining XP in this tank, it's just making me not want to play at all, which is a shame because I've had 1100 or so good, fun matches up to now.

Stick with it. Like any tank, you can't really judge it when it's stock.

You're always going to get trolled by the match making because they want you to spend gold to free XP modules.

With the top gun it's a very good TD. You will need the tracks to mount it though.

On the Xbox you can't buy individual modules, they come as packages. Engine and tracks in my next package, gun upgrade in the one after that. Getting the xp isn't the problem, getting the silver is. I've played 12 matches tonight and lost them all. Even in the last match when I killed 3 tanks and wounded a load of others, my gutless team mates let both flanks collapse and lost the match. It feels like this thing is cursed.

And the game is definitely balanced to try and force you into getting a premium account at higher levels. I know they wanted to make sure that premium accounts would create insurmountable advantages on the battlefield, and I feel they don't, but it does feel like you need a premium account to actually earn decent silver with a tier VIII+ tank. The running costs are so high, unless every match is a dinger you can easily lose money, and the earning rate is so slow that it takes aeons to get enough silver to purchase upgrades without relying on playing lower tiered, big banking tanks to rake the cash in.

Same story with me in the T25AT at the minute. Awful as stock, slowly grinding the xp for it. I've kept 2 tanks from Teir 6 as that's been my favourite and most profitable so far for money, I just spend a couple of sessions in my Jackson or M4E8 to rake in the silver to counter the cost of grinding through the T25.

The grind for the JPII is hard, no doubt, but once you get it fully upgraded it's a bit of a beast. Especially now that the Rhm B is available as well, people tend to focus that, so even when spotted you aren't the top priority.

I just finished grinding it today for the Jagdtiger. Not all of todays games were in the JPII, but here are my stats.

Credits is an issue as always. Tier 6 & 7 are usually the places to grind credits.

On XVM stats (although I don't know how reliable these are) I have a 54% win rate even though I seem to have lost loads recently hehe). In the vast majority of games (like 90%) I have the highest W/R. There are rarely more than 3 players on either team who have greater than 50% and many, many games, everyone else has less than 50% W/R.

Now I don't consider myself a particularly good player - I certainly make many mistakes that I realise as soon as I do them and yet, the vast majority of people must be pretty rubbish, if the stats are anything to go by!

I suspect also, by looking at a lot of players histories, especially total games played v Tiers of tanks etc, that a lot of people are just grinding up to high tier tanks ASAP and therefore have neither the experience of playing many different tanks (to learn their strengths & weaknesses) but more importantly, don't have skilled crews.

I stopped at T5/6 and spent a long time just training all my crews. I reckon I could have a large fleet of T9/10s if I just upgraded as soon as I had the XP.

I reckon this makes a massive difference in games at higher tiers (skilled crews that is).

49.5 or thereabouts, bear in mind the draws as well as the losses.

I've played 11k games and only got 1 Tier 9 no Tier 10's, played every single non premium tanks below Tier 7 and working on the 7's biggrin

That'll be me. I seem to have an uncanny ability to find the oppositions largest nastiest tank usually just after I have fired.
