How's this for an epic fail:

Fricking 8 kills but lost anyway thanks to team melt. I got 4 kills in the previous game with this tank & lost that too. mad
Ouch, but at least you can say it wasn't down to you smile. Apart from the above, is the quality of play any better on the US server?

There's a mission on the EU server for July that has you destroy a certain number of tanks from each nation, I think when you have done all of them the reward is some equipment or other (vents I think). Got them all easily, other than the Japanese ones. Seems no one is driving Japanese tanks - it's got to the point where i caught myself driving to work today looking for Chi-Ri's in the bushes. It's probably as well there weren't any (although I'd fancy my Golf against one of those paper armoured scrapheaps if i'm honest).

I'm only up to tier 3, so it's probably a bit early to say. There seem to be far fewer bots and AFKers.

They don't seem to use chat as much either. The NA server population is a lot smaller than the EU & Russian ones.

What is the deal with AFKers? Especially on the Xbox, as there is no auto start. Where are these people? Why start the match if you're not going to play?

You still get XP and points though. So you could run 8 games simultaneously, whilst only actually playing one.

I generally report them as inactive/bot or whatever it is now.

Sometimes things come up though and you have to leave the computer but tbh if that happens I generally type something along the lines of "sorry gotta go afk, will be back as soon as possible".

I know a mate of mine parks his artillery next to them (same for campers) so that when the counter battery fire comes in they end up getting hit.

I have no idea whether reporting player's has any effect - anyone here been banned? I suspect that it is just sop.

They are easy to spot though - just look at the number of games played compared to winrate.

They are banning people for bots, there was quite a funny post on the WOT forums about some guy's crying / discussions with customer support after they had (entirely correctly) caught and banned him for botting. He went through all manner of excuses and heartfelt appeals for leniency, but could only get his account back if it was wiped. So yes, they do ban but I do rather suspect it might just be one or two hard put upon people in WG central trying to hold back the tides though - still see quite a lot of afk's.

Must be gutting, come in to work of a Monday morning, "oh just the 120,000 inaction complaints to review from the weekend then...". WG would do themselves a lot of favours if they would publish statistics on how many were caught / temp banned / perma banned though.

Players who exit from a game when their tank is still alive don't get any XP now.

I can see that with the gold seller's tanks as they never hang around for very long.

They need to make it so artillery players that kill themselves when their team is losing get XP and money taken off them. This should have been done a long time ago.

Just had my first game of the day in the Tiger, ended up having to lead a push against tier 8 heavies and TDs as my team were being reluctant to do much more than sit getting shot, I ended up doing 3,100 damage an netting 4 kills, damaging 2 other tanks, with the double xp bonus I netted a tasty 3002xp. One of my shots towards the end of the round even penetrated a KV-5 turret, the RNG has smiled upon me, even if the MM did not.

Now I'm just 14,000xp away from being able to research the Tiger II, sadly I'm 2,000,000 silver short of being able to buy it!

I know it's been mentioned before and there are various reasons it's not necessarily going to work, but I want a casual PH clan, just so I can rock a PH smiley on my tank.
Thinking just a clan so people can say hi when on, platoon if they feel like and if people want to dip their toes in the murky waters of team and clan wars that's up to them.

Why not, it's only 2,500 gold to create a clan.

I'm watching Quickybaby's flat tour. He uses Bisto gravy granules and recommends Toshiba televisions. This guy is a real class act, he makes his girlfriend clean up spilled Pepsi on camera. I like this guy, I'd buy him a pint if I could. He is canny good at WoT too.

Well then now's the time to do it (or at least almost the time...) Clan creation is on discount once patch 9.2 launches, down from 2,500 gold to 1,000. clicky

Its not a bad idea Jayfish, if you decide to do it let us know and I'll stump up half the cost (once I figure out how to send the gold) - worth it just for the smiley wink

Was hoping for a discount and there it is, strike whilst the iron's hot, I'll get to it but in no way plan to be any form of leader, too much on my plate as it is.

Had a lousy night last night - trying to play my TDs, just about every game the opposition simply over ran our front line, spotted and one-shotted me, sometimes before I'd even been able to line up a shot myself. Some evenings, it's better to just go watch telly...
