I really, really wish that tier IX and X were kept separate from everything else. Just had a game where most of my team were VII like myself and most apart from 2 or 3 on the other team were IX. all we could do was track them to slow the impending annihilation. Needless to say I think we were lucky to hold out for 5 minutes!
Edited to add, just got myself the M3 Stuart. I love this thing, no way I'm upgrading it the 20mm cannon is far too much fun when I get in the enemy lines just doing figure of eights and taking out confused tanks haha.

I can remember the very first game in my Object 704 Soviet TD, as I was the only tier 9 on my team. There weren't any tier 8s either, they were ALL tier 7s. The enemy team was the same, but they had the tier 9 waffle instead.
I played it quite conservatively since I didn't know what the 704 would be like. Managed to get 4 kills and put a couple of shots into the enemy waffle before we won. T29s and ISs couldn't penetrate my front armour, especially with some reverse slope usage thanks to the 704's decent gun depression.
Damn I loved that TD. Such a beast.

Had a lousy night last night - trying to play my TDs, just about every game the opposition simply over ran our front line, spotted and one-shotted me, sometimes before I'd even been able to line up a shot myself. Some evenings, it's better to just go watch telly...
This was me last night too. Odd moments of personal satisfaction such as back to back one shotting of a couple of scouts running full tilt through us and creating havoc. But other than that it was mostly ineptitude, some of it admittedly my own, yet after ten consecutive games as bottom or next to bottom tank one has to conclude that enough piss had been taken for one night. Great first match of the day in my Tiger again, before I even got a shot off my ammo rack took a hit and reloads were glacial, but I still managed 4 kills, top of the scoreboard and a nice double xp bonus. Since then, I've been getting trolled to fk. 3 matches in a row where my team was reduced to 4 tanks in under 4 minutes, and in the last match 3 players were AFK. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!
They've changed El Halluf again? I was only just getting used to it from last time. Mind you it can be a bit campy at times, but that whole valley type layout is always going to promote that. Curious to see what they have done, but hope it isn't just another 2-3 choke point map like they seem to have been tweaking towards recently.
I really like the Kharkov Map, lots of different routes and rat runs - keeps the battle flowing. We need more of those.

They do seem to be constantly fiddling with El Halluf in particular. Clearly they can see the stats that show victories are skewed towards one starting point over the other. Short of having mirror image maps I can't see how they can get round that problem.
They ruined the Severogorsk map in one of the recent patches. It's now just another corridor map that favours heavy tanks and turreted TDs.
I don't like the miserable, dingy maps like Ruinberg on Fire and Kharkov. The Ruinberg one in particular is so damn dark.

Severogorsk is a waste of time now unless you're a turretted heavy or medium. Nowhere for a TD to go on that map, likewise nothing for scouts to do as it's all too open. I also join you in hating the Ruinberg maps and Kharkov, likewise Himmelsdorf. I like the open maps personally. Karelia, Mines, Prok, Mali, El Halluf pre-change, Komarin (), Hidden Village (double ), Highway and that one with the magic forest (forget name) are some of my favourites. Province is my absolute favourite though. They ruined the Severogorsk map in one of the recent patches. It's now just another corridor map that favours heavy tanks and turreted TDs.
