I was weighing this one up after I got one-shotted in my T20 by a GW Panther, which struck me as something new.. But now I think about it, you get hit directly by a 155mm cast-iron shell - especially as it's coming from above onto very soft armour - it's probably going to go through, and you will be completely and utterly f ked! Those shells are designed to shatter on impact and cause damage by exploding on the surface, but if one goes through you stand not the slightest chance. So it seems they've made artillery much more powerful, but I don't think that's necessarily overpowered, as I was getting bored of a £500 shell from my M41 only taking a fairly standard 250hp off a KV-1 every time I hit it. Now a good shot will wipe someone out, which I guess is what they're meant for! I've been one shotted fairly frequently before the update by GW Panthers, so I don't think it's a buff in that way: "In order to reduce the amount of issues with "questionable" non-penetration/penetration, reworked the system of damaging with HE and armor-piercing shells. In some cases there's a possibility of damage and critical hits increase from HE shells" However the downside is the BS dealing BS damage of 4, count 'em, 4 hp for non penetrating hits. Ok, it's also dealt up to 27hp damage, but 4? seriously, wtf is the point playing the sodding thing?

I would say a GW Panther would have been able to do that before the changes....it's hard to do and something of a fluke but if Arty can land a shell on the rear of a tank they can definitely one shot tanks. I one shotted an IS-7 with my GW Typ E once....he couldn't believe it and I was fairly surprised myself! He rolled forward just as the shell was incoming so I assume the shell skimmed his turret and hit the back of the tank where there is little armour.

You can dmage just about anything in it (although you need to be careful with a Maus and E-100), the gun is accurate and powerful, its fast, and with a bit of angling it will bounce a surprising number of shots. usually vastly under-rated by opposition heaveis. oh and with a well trained crew you can disappear into the smallest folds of the ground and tehn re-appear somewhere else- very deadly for the opposition. Play this as much as my E-50! (and i only play mediums...)

Just looking at the figures for the T-44, I presume you use the 100mm LB-1 with it? That looks like a serious piece of equipment!

We looked at it but 250 miles each way + 2 nights hotel was looking a bit pricey, so we went to Duxford and Muckleburgh instead, some pics here and here (taking photos of tanks in museums isn't easy as they're packed quite tightly in and in the dark!).

AM04ARO said: Can you convert xp to gold? Nope not that I know of. I got my first heavy fine today that landed me in -ve from the match, somebody was being a total arse shooting at people, he'd fire two rounds at my T49 from his StuG III taking me down to 50hp and he was having a go at our only artillery piece - so I killed him, cba with people like that.

Funny you mention that.
I was hit at the start from a M3 Stuart in my Panther this evening. He hit me, I hit Him then he followed me around the map hitting my rear so every time he did I shot back. He died and the team lost even though I killed a couple of the enemy.
Cost me more than I got in compensation but not going to sit back and take it, especially as I went to fight and he followed me around.........

Struggling to find info on it. I have a clan lined up, I need tier 8 tank to get in and my first will be Pershing, though I doubt that'll get me involved in live battles!

Some nice shots there. I tend to look at them now and think "pff tier 5, easy kill"

I have a clan lined up, I need tier 8 tank to get in and my first will be Pershing, though I doubt that'll get me involved in live battles! Clans obtain gold by fighting over territory, and retaining it once won. Different territories pay differing amounts of gold, which is accumulatged on a daily basis all the time the clan retains the territory. The gold acquired by the clan can then be distributed amongst it's members, to ensure that they have got all the required upgrades on their tanks to defend the territory from attackers. Some clans own several territories and will be earning several thousand gold on a daily basis. It's a bit catch 22. You need territories to earn lots of gold, but as a small clan with no gold, it's difficult for your clan members to equip their tanks to their utmost best to give you a chance of acquiring and holding on to territories.
