Hi Tankers
We need you ……
British Marauders are Clan based on the EU Servers and we are a friendly bunch.
Currently we are recruiting, we have 2 Division
BM – mainly for social playing
BM2- social playing and Clan Wars ( you will need 2 x Tier 10 tanks and be available for Clan Wars)
We have a TeamSpeak Server which we log on when playing WoT.. plenty of good natured banter, great for platoons and company battles.
If you are interested then take a look at our web site and if you want to apply to the Clan then follow the link below

Fun isn't it? Usually good for a torrent of abuse from the recipient.
I still have fond memorories of blind killing an enemy arty 40 odd seconds in to the game, back in the days before tracers; he was pissed. Mentioned on here, oooh, 100 or so pages ago
Only tend to get this with arty, alas, due to the need to one shot them. It would be nice to somehow see you've damaged someone who is hidden. Would upset the gameplay quite a bit, though.
I've had a couple where I was taking a long shot at something and hit something a long way behind them, but they were already spotted.

Considering I was suffering from a crappy internet connection tonight which was giving me all sorts of fps and lag issues I'm quite pleased with this effort with the MS-1 on Province.
chortle
a scroll down the efficiency table gives
Bit disappointed with the accuracy, but guess that must be the lag, well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Spent what seems like an eternity grinding the AR-20 and finally get a T-34, 30+ games in a row with it where I have been the lowest ranked tier by some margin. Utterly pointless
The A-20 is a bit of a dog and the T-34 seems like more of the same at first. Don't bother with any gun except the 57 mm one. It's pretty fast firing & can penetrate at least the sides of most tanks a tier or two above it.I nailed 6 tanks in a game with it the other day and shot up another 3 (including a KV-1 sixteen times LOL)
Grrr, spoke too soon, had a terrible time with the Priest and win rate back down to 53%. There are some shockingly bad players out there.
We lost two matches due to idiots leaving the cap when we could have won, to try to find the last enemy. Neither did and both were a draw (in one we were >90% when he left). I also had a rare and momentary loss of patience when I told a top tier T20 player who had been hiding all game to let go of his pen1s and start playing the game, which raised some lol's from the rest of the team.

Unlocked the 57mm already, decent penetration for a small calibre. Just waiting for the chance to use it against something below tier 8!
The A-20 was slower than the BT-7 so I couldn't see how it was an upgrade when 90% of games was as a bottom tier scout. Would have preferred to use the BT-7 in the same scenario.
Crap games for me last night. Seems the RNG was totally against me,bounces all the time, even when using some prem rounds.
Very frustrating ,side shot on a stationary T1 with a prem round, close range and it bounces off? Bloody annoying even.
On a brighter note, I've started on my artillery mission. Decided to go for an SU26. I'm going to elite the bottom level Soviet
Arty, so I can go straight to the SU26.
I've not played any games yet, but I know the aiming modes are different. Can anyone point me to the game keys that accesses these
aiming modes?

You just press shift, i.e. sniper mode, but you get an overhead view of the battlefield. There is a small window that shows in the minimap which indicates where you are looking in the big screen.
After that it's rather obvious.
I didn't particularly like arty, but must admit that a "firing from the hip" moment whilst guessing the lead required to get a T50 with one shot whilst he was at at full chat across Prokhorovka did cause me to have a little chuckle when he evaporated.

Something worth doing with artillery, I find, is looking for another target without moving from your current one. Sometimes I'm firing at someone, but while reloading another target pops up off-screen and I want to see what/where it is and if it's worth switching fire to. So hold down right mouse button to lock your reticle where it is, then scroll across the map to look at the other target - you still get your green/red line showing whether a direct shot is on or not. If it's worth it, let go of the firelock and let the reticle move over, if it's not, keep holding the button down and go back to your original target without having screwed up your nicely settled aim
Thanks for the info chaps.
As for green/red lines? I assume green means a shot viable and red not?
When I buy my SU26 (in next few days) I'M likely to 100% my crew straightaway (Have enough gold left I think) also
likely to elite the tank straight away as well.
So, as I'll be straight into accelerated crew training , which skills should I go for first?
Any ideas anyone, I was thinking perhaps at least 2 for camo , but others may think differently .

Yeah, the lines indicate whether there's something solid obstructing your shot, which could be off-screen so it's sometimes useful. But I would mainly concentrate on the ring of dots, your shell will always land somewhere inside these, but on the other hand your shell will land anywhere inside them note terrain undulations that you can't always see from above will change the shape of the dots.
As for skills, we discussed this a few pages back. Sixth sense, without a doubt. Artillery is probably the one most beneficial place to use that! Otherwise camo is good, depending on the artillery you might want snap shot on your gunner (ones where you have to turn often benefit more from it, but it's always useful).
