The Rockets can be used as a primer for launching the ghouls off into space as an alternative to getting the proper stuff, btw
Ooops. Ta again!!

Ah well, I'd already sent the Ghouls to the moon* so no use for those rockets then..

Or wherever it is they are going, perhaps the Alien ship in Fallout 3 biggrin

Not for me, he is staying in the shop and will let me buy but no speech for a motel key.... B**er and sod.

ETA - and I don't see a rocket launcher in the room he has either, a pistol and some ammo but that is it. Though I do have "annabel"....

I'm finding it much easier to accrue caps at the moment compared to FO3, but stimpacks are hard to come by. However, food is plentiful and as such i'm remaining healthy. I just helped the Brightfollowers launch from the rocket factory and then got that old ladies head blown off in Novac so have Boone following me. I've not yet seen how handy he is with a sniper rifle yet but can't wait to kick some Legion ass later tonight.
I just buy stimpacks off everyone who trades.. 5 here and 5 there and I have 50 of them in my pack.. And still a few thousand caps as well (hint to get lots of caps, go pay a visit to the gun runners and kill the guards, their armour is worth thousands!).

Oh, I'm playing a "goody two-shoes" character for my first play through. Just like I did with F3. My 2nd play through of F3 had my character as a real bh who blew up Megaton (well, you have to really hehe) and would steal anything not nailed down and carried a crowbar for stuff that was. biggrin
Yes me too, I had no intention of shooting the gun runners, I just walked into their bulding and they opened fire on me.. But when I searched them and saw the price of their armour I was rather pleased.... And the Robot will still trade with me.

I am SUCH a goody two shoes that I appear to be paying more in caps to complete quests for the NCR than my poxy rewards........

Funny enough, I did the same with F3, played it a couple of times as a goodie then nuked megaton and killed anyone I could... Sadly their ears were not worth as much as the fingers of the baddies and they were a lot harder to come by too... Damn these games are fun.

Did anyone rescue the Powder Ganger captives being held by the Legion? There are 2 Gangers being held by 5 or 6 Legion in a little campsite NE of Nipton. I havent done anything yet as I guess if I resuce them the Legion will turn on me, where as I am pretty neutral at the mo, only Jackal and Slinger gangs seem to attack me.
Yes I saved them. I did intend to kill them as they escaped (after all, the Powder Gangers and I don't get on) but couldn't get them in time as I was busy with a couple of Legion fellows... And now I am collecting Legion ears....

I don't know about everyone else but I am finding quite a few quests where I just don't have the skills to complete them (i.e. locked doors in Vault 22 and an Elevator I can't fix), same with finding the source of the radiation etc..so I have to go off and do other quests in the meantime...

Slightly off topic here, I'm still playing F3 on my first play through (completed it but I decided to reload an earlier save to tie up some loose ends), and I completely missed who I'm supposed to sell the fingers to! Help?
The Regulators HQ. There is a lady there who will pay you I think 10 caps per finger. If she is not in the HQ she is somewhere near it, just use the pip boy to search for her.

I do this, but I used them up rather quickly. I think i'm too used to power armour, the terrible shotgun and my plasma rifle as I tend to be a bit gung-ho, rushing in forgetting I've got leather armour and a 10mm pistol hehe
Yes, I have this problem too... I keep running into 4-5 Cazadors (sp?) and those feckers don't half do a lot of damage in a short space of time!!

I have just bought myself a 25mm grenade machine gun though, gonna go find some ammo for it and I'm away!!

I think I am about level 15 now. Still just puttering through side quests - though I did rather enjoy killing everyone in Silver whatever it is - the Van Graffs - they had lovely kit which I sold on... Oh, but I can't search the brother for some reason, which is annoying as he has some nice expensive looking combat armour on.

Oh, and I got the extra perception perk which does increase the range but still not that far IMHO.....

ANyone got a .50MG yet? I have a 25mm Grenade Launcher which is fun but damn expensive to fire........

Anyone had the pleasure of visiting vault 22 to download data for Dr Hildren yet? I was stuck in that sthole vault for about an hour and a half trying to figure out where the database was!
Been down there and don't have the skill to get to the computer (elevator repairs IIRC) so left it. But I felt like Riply, marching around using the flamethrower in all the shrubs........

You don't need to repair the elevator, you can use the stairs.
I just kept going round and round and got f***ed off with it. But I will go back at some stage, just off to meet some NCR important dude..

Oh, and I take it that Presidential Suite in Lucky 38 (if that's the right name) is a house "for life" as such, looks like you can buy improvements for it a la Fallout 3 too.....

Any idea what the full playtime is approximately? or is it one of those games that doesn't end?
Well, I've been playing for 40 hours (Yes, I am addicted) and I've only just met Mr House, and the only reason I did that was because I was getting fed up with not completing quests due to lower skills than needed.....

As with F3, I suspect if you just rattle through the game it might be 10-15 hours BUT if you play the explorer and side quests it will be over 80 hours...

The sex bot is behind where the NCR were giving out free food.

And the King is in the "School of Impersonations" or whatever it is called. The big purple building.
For the sexbot you go out the door (the one past the druggie you help out), then ignore that it wants you to go back again, and turn left, going round the rubble etc there will be a gap past a building which lets you head down there, then keep going down there and you will get to the Celedur (sp?) shop on the map at least, and the robot (sexbot) is in there.... Along with a few rats, and a lot of scrap metal (handy for me to give to Isaac later on).

No that's a shop not the Celedur (sp?) Robot Centre.

You haven't gone round far enough past the rubble to get to the right place.

Hmm, I'm in a bit of a quandry.

I've just got to Freeside and have been doing a few jobs for the Van Graffs. Now Jean Paul wants me to bring Cass to him, only I need to complete the Crimson caravan mission for her in order to follow me. Trouble is, the Crimson caravan one seems to involve killing Gloria Van Graff, which I guess is going to ps off Jean Paul?

How do I go about it?
I took her to Jean Paul, and he then says he is going to kill her when you speak to him, and then you can decide whether to let him, or stop him......

Ah, I was just coming on to ask if anyone has gone scuba diving yet.....

Did you go up to the top floor of the rock school as he has a room up there and was there when I went.... The second set of stairs is off round the corner from the other set, a bit out of the way.
