Fallout New Vegas - WITH SPOILERS.
Discussion
Got this at midday today and it's already sapped 5 hours of my life… it's great
And yes, I've found lottery ticket man. I may have shot him in the head to see what he was carrying…
I'm thoroughly enjoying using the iron sights, they make shooting far more involved than in F3. I do keep crapping myself when I line up a single shot, take the shot and get a ridiculously loud bang/crushing sound as it immediately switches to show the critical hit I just got. It always makes me think something very bad has happened to me…

Anyone come across the lottery ticket man yet?
Yeah, that was a bit odd! I've enabled the wacky wasteland perk at the start though, so might be part of that. What are the blue star bottle caps all about? Some random guy was following me and told me they were valuable and could lead me to a pre-war treasure. I ran into some guy who had a necklace of them, I was nice and didnt mug him, would have if I had known there was some treasure related to them.

Can anyone explain this?
I said earlier that I had ended up having a bit of a falling out with the Powder Gangers, culminating in all out war when I went to the NCR CF to try and recruit that Sheriff. I wasn't happy with this as I felt like I was missing out on missions and stuff so I re-loaded an earlier save.
Did the sheriff missions and a few more for the Powder Gangers, all of a sudden it was kicking off in the NCR CF, NCR V Powder Gangers with me in the middle. I ended up killing loads of NCR which obviously upset them greatly. All of a sudden I am 'villified' by the fking NCR, which is exactly where I stood with the Powder Gangers before I reloaded my save.
Anyway, I make my way down to the NCR outpost, when I get there they are neutral again?
WTF?
Something to do with the outfit you are wearing? Legion and criminal outfits hate the NCR, sont wear their armour when you pay a visit, likewise NCR will probably shoot you if you wear legion armour.I said earlier that I had ended up having a bit of a falling out with the Powder Gangers, culminating in all out war when I went to the NCR CF to try and recruit that Sheriff. Also, favorite outfits so far... Space Suit from the rocket test facility looks great! I also have some awesome silk Pjyamas that add +10 to speach!
I tend to wander around in pre-war clothes just to avoid this now and slip on some armour if it gets ugly.

You have to wait for her to go home and then tlk to her b4 she gets in the door, u can wake her up n she will walk outside n a new diologe will come up. took me ages to work it out lol
Ah I gave up, left the place then came back later and this time I got the option to speak to her and invite her out to a dinosaur for the evening........ Ta !Decided to stake out some brahmin to find out who was killing them. I was scared by chupacabras as a kid and had spoken to No-Bark first... crapped myself! If I had gone to see some rockets first it may have been easier on the ticker!
Played on pc for around 5 hours with one crash (didn't like me fast-travelling to the location is was just outside of) which is far, far better than FO3!

I did enjoy the music after the rocket launch..... Anyone have enough science skill to tinker with the navigation computer when launching the rockets? what happens if you do?
And did one of them spin out of control? I was hoping to find it crashed somewhere.... But I do have a natty space suit.
And no, I didn't have enough skill to adjust that either, maybe when I play the game anew I will leave that quest until I have the skills to see where the rockets will go!!

ETA just noticed I've been more than a bit prolific on this thread.... Can you tell I'm waiting for the TV to be free and the GF to go to bed so I can carry on playing!

whats the best weapon to kill nightskins as they take ages to kill even wit my companion (boone) shooting em.
Comination of incinerator, run away a bit, drop a mine on the way, and unload with a decent rifle or handgun in their heads when they get close, cowboy repeater works well for me in vats, hunting rifle if I'm shooting manually (uses too many AP for vats.ETA I'm on normal difficulty, and had guns in the late 50's when I did this mission.
Jet, psycho and med-x are must haves too.
