Did I not read somewhere the other day that a recent update had killed the ability to use a MAV as a lift?
Or was that some kind of wonderful dream?

Is it just my paranoia, or are more and more people using the USAS-12 with fresh rounds?
I played a game of conquest in operation metro the other night and it's no exaggeration to say that at least half the other side were using them. It got to the point that you couldn't even go near the stairways before the whole area erupted in explosions.
One guy had 51 stars with the damn thing!

USAS12 + Frags with extended mags and running as support so you can continually replenish ammo. You can tell them a mile away with the tell tale "fwumpfwumpfwumpfwumpfwumpfwumpfwumpfwumpfwumpfwumpfwumpfwump" *boomboomboomboomboomboomboomboomboomboomboomboom* noises. I will admit, I alternate between M249 as support, and FAMAS/USAS12 as assault on Op Metro, but that and very occasionally Grand Bazaar are the only maps my USAS will ever come out, and even then - it's got to be once in a blue moon.

I must admit after getting usas abused enough to make me throw my controller and then finally unlocking it I have had a week of payback. Got about 300 kills now and the novelty is wearing off. Still love my pkp and with 21 stars now I'm not about to put it down anytime soon.
Also a lot of people do not realise how to properly use mav's. Yeah sure it's fun donking people on the head with it but the real points are spotting. Those surveillance ribbons rack up. And does anyone not know about mav emp usage? You fly your mav, hover the sights over another mav and lock on, press fire and pop! Bye bye mav. Really fun when you see someone using it as a lift, let the nearly get to the top to suddenly realise they are falling to an untimely suicide!

I love the usas, 2159 kills to date confirms it, I love how it reminds me of the aa12 from mw2.
I run the extended mags and frag rounds as well, although in close quarter fights I tend to commit suicide as I haven't learned not to just open fire and keep shooting till everything is rubble.... : hehe:
My best kill is a headshot on sharqi, from the construction site to the tv station against a recon.
Fire, watch bullet drop, adjust aim. Repeat till enemy dead.
Spent last night chasing people in the skid loader on wake, my mate had strapped 6 c4's to the front so it was a mobile bomb that got a helicopter and a guy running for his life. Road killing the guy who had just killed my friend was also very fun.
Agree with the mav spotting, did this to great effect on sunday, mate in mav, me in tank. Driving around taking the points with the mav acting as my over head guardian. Kept an eye out for enemy's and would scout ahead the next point for me. Very effective if done right.

I have 100 kills with the usas but to be honest I am trying to get 100 kills with all the weapons in the game and unlock everything for every vehicle, so it will be a long time before I return to using it. I also need to finish the assualt and recon class upto service star 1.
