Downloaded the 172mb update for the Xbox. All was said and done, and the game then requested a 1.02gb update. Fair enough, but decided to cancel it and leave it until later.

Maybe a separate Origin update?

That or EA/ Dice haven't a clue what they doing (which is more likely)

The only thing that was strange was that it stuffed me into operation metro map, despite me selecting kharg island.

I think it varies depending upon which platform you're playing it on.

The M27 and FAMAS are markedly different post patch on the PS3 and all of the guns I typically use (KH2002, M27, PDW-R) have more recoil and seem to have less hits registering, to the point where I haven't actually bothered playing for the past couple of days - I just can't seem to kill anyone with my usual weapons and it gets boring very quickly.

not just me then.....

there is no way the m27 is as powerful as it was pre-patch...like i sai dbefore I might as well use a flyswatter or tickle the opposition

You know Fez I never noticed that, it is a bit rubbish isn't it. Been using the AEK a fair bit not a bad gun at all!

Just done the small update. The 1 gig one said its so you can rent a server do canceled and can still play as normal

Rented my own server for a day to try it out. Really fancied playing hard core with team killing off and spotting on. Had no one join so far apart from 1 mate I've been on with this afternoon.

Guess everyone prefers 1200 ticket metrol.

I thought I was going mad seeing everyone say that the m27 was untouched. I haven't touched the game since Friday and I'm in no rush to get back to it.

It's OK for those who find the game easy to welcome the increase in difficulty but my Col. badge was hard won and I was just starting to get good. I now feel like I did when I first got the game.

Since the update the game has run so much smoother for me,the lag and awful response and stuttering sound nearly made me put the game away for good.

just to let you know I can't find any servers on xbox 360 maybe when the download is finished they will reappear

I actually switched to the PP19 thing - I got fed up of trying to hit anything with an assault rifle because the recoil was ridiculous. My first couple of shots would hit and then I'd be aiming at the ceiling. Problem with the PP19 and similar is that you have to be within spitting distance to stand a chance in a 1 on 1 and even then you have to hit them with 4 or 5 bursts before they get you.

I guess I'm just rubbish at the game, but you'd think after 270 hours I'd be able to aim (I certainly could before the patch). I'm not exagerating in the slightest to say that I gained 19 suppression ribbons in 250 hours of (admittedly shorter) games pre patch to gaining 21 suppression ribbons in less than 20 hours of (longer) games post patch. I gave up after that as I just couldn't seem to kill anything.

I've gone from being glued to the game to having absolutely no inclination to pick up the controller again. Like you say, I feel like I'm starting all over again, but my KDR isn't noticeably worse, it just seems that I and everyone else have become equally useless at killing eachother.

If you mean I did something to get kicked I didn't I simply joined lasted about 30 seconds and was kicked. If you mean it's a poor option to have then I agree although I am not even sure what it means .
