Also hate what they've done with the ground to air rocket launchers, as it seems to take an age to lock anything up so it's easier to utterly dominate if you're in the air. Great if you've got a PH type setup where you can get 2 good teams together and war it out, shat if you're just after a couple of rounds and you get lumped on a team of knobs - which was always the case but it seems worse than ever now - and I had a couple of decent rounds!
I guess I'll stick with it for a bit and see if I can get back into it, but honestly I think I'll be looking for another multiplayer.
Luckily I spent a long time on the infantry maps pre patch trying to unlock the weapon type medals, because I cannot hit a barn door since the patch update and my gun accuracy is actually coming down (after steadily rising from 11% to nearly 13% pre-patch)!The private server thing is good if you find a good one, but they're a bit thin on the ground from what I saw tonight. I'm now focusing on the vehicle medals and thankfully flying the helicopters has actually got easier since the patch.
I've not been on BF3 for a few weeks and after downloading the update, all I can think is; What the hell have they done to it? I'm on PS3, getting lag issues, losing connections all the time. Never had any issues before. I hope it gets better soon because they seem to have ruined a perfectly good game at the moment. And what's with all the private servers? And having to re-download the Karkand pack? All seems a bit of a shambles. Shame.

Also, my friend who I play with is a very good chopper pilot, in most games if we're in the air for longer than 3/4 minutes we're finding the moderator of the game kicks him out. Its not like we're hogging the chopper as once we've died we'll move onto a tank or a LAV etc.
Really saddened as its such a good game.
Was great fun trying different tactics and also hunting down the campers and snipers who sit and dont contribute to the game.
Also killing the same guy 5 times in a row, with a jihad buggy was great fun. I drove, colin laced it with 6 C4 and we hunted the tank down, he jumped off, i drove into the tank. Boom. 1 dead tank and the buggy is still alive to be reused to get them again.

Gotta agree, I can't complete a round without getting disconnected, never had any lag or connection problems before the patch. Very frustrating. f

Update is wk, just got kicked 10 times on one game, epic lag, it has added a laser sight to all my guns, it has taken the bi-pod off my sniper rifles and replaced with fore grip, then it kept spawning me with an SVD with a laser sight.
Has anyone else noticed that they seem to have added a haze over all the maps making it less clear what you are doing, it has adjusted everything, they have made it worse.
