Any links to confirm that? A quick Google isn't showing anything. I'll be mightily miffed if that is the case, as I doubt very much that EA will give me a refund.

It's not released on other platforms until the 18th, iirc - so seems unlikely.

Yeah, that's fun too. But yes, anywhere a vehicle might spawn can find a mine when I play........... The little buggys are the best.....

Yes, it is mean, but the sheer pleasure I get (I think I need to get a life) when 10-15 mins after I've planted a mine, I get a kill.

That's a relief.

First impressions are good, only played one or two maps but I love the size of them - particularly since I'm going through a bit of an air warfare phase at the moment and having a huge map means you can actually get some proper dog fighting in.

Out on Xbox today, IIRC.

The new maps are very good - best set since B2K, IMO. Very 3 dimensional, with lots of cover, tunnels, corridors and irregular features.

On the monolith map you can climb about 4 storeys high into a very large building (the mononlith) with a hollow interior and open sides.

Quick heads up to anyone interested - it looks like Origin are doing an advent calendar deal, and tomorrow (05/12/12) BF3 is 50% off. Not sure if that'll be just the premium edition or if the individual expansions will be included.

I only played for about 30minutes last night to give it a go and got to second on the board, gets tricky when a few of the enemy team finds the upgraded sniper weapons and holds some high ground though.

Well I'm improving now I'm learning the maps a bit. Really enjoying conquest on the new maps too. Particularly the Palace.
