The one I'm thinking of is definitely a pigeon - Fall

Just finished the single player as well smile

I loved the first game so was a little concerned that they could pull off the same great feel for the second - I needn't have worried smile

Certainly one of the best games I have played in recent memory, perhaps ever. Great script, great story, nice progression to the puzzles, lovely cinematography (for want of a better word), thought the music worked especially well - superb overall experience.

If I had to pick a negative it would be that i'm so used to Stephen Merchant's voice that it was hard to just imagine the character - but to be honest it didn't really detract from the game.

I would certainly recommend it - people who don't like first-person-shooters shouldn't overlook Portal 2, its more puzzle 'n' comedy.

As close to perfect as I've seen a game tread in a very long while...

Me and my mate got this on Thursday. He completed the story yesterday whareas I'm on Chapter 6.

I have to agree with everyone else, its a really good game and the comedy aspect of it is really good.

Co-op is brilliant! Me and my mate are just working through the Co-op achievements at the moment!

I find the graphics are a lot better than Portal 1 and IMO its a bit easier, ( I haven't completed it yet though, so that may change.)

If you are thinking about getting this game. Please do, you won't regret it.

I was determined to complete portal 1 before i got this, and i have just gotten back into portal and have completed the main game, and i am installing portal 2 as i type.

from somebody who didnt get the hype of this game about a week ago, im now a huge fan of this game, as the saying goes, never judge a book by its cover. and that goes perfectly for this game

Yes. I talk to my mate through the head-set. There are other ways but I find that easiest.

Excellent, cheers. I don't play a lot online so I'm never quite sure about these things! I'm trying to convince my mate to get Portal 2 so we can do some co-op thumbup

Just finished it, fantastic.

Although I didn't enjoy it as much as Portal1; I think it's because the first was such a suprise in its originality and execution, that the second was never going to have that.

Still, well worth it, just need my mate to pull his finger out and get it now.

Finished it again tonight....doesn't take as long the second time round hehe

Still enjoyed it though, although I might leave it a while know so I actually forget how to do the puzzles and have another bash as I think thats the only way you can get much in the way of replay out of it.

Played through the first 30 mins earlier - fantastic. It's essentially the first game, but with more soul, more voicing, and a better setting. Love it!
That's why I don't think I'll bother getting it.The same thing happened in Left 4 Dead and L4D II. More of the same <<yawn>>
I'm in the same boat, I loved the fist one, but it did start to get a little bit repetitive towards the end, I can only imagine this one going the same way frown still might pick it up one day if I see it cheap! smile

Wow, you people couldn't be more wrong. The game is funny (much more than the first one), it's fun, puzzly in a satisfying way, longer but not too long and generally great, and the coop is really fun. You're missing out on the perfect game.

Whilst I'm not sure it's the perfect game (which, almost by definition, doesn't exist), I agree with Salgar. From the middle of the game (The Fall), the settings change dramatically and entirely new elements are introduced to add to the complexity. There have been rather more levels in this game that have kept me thinking than in the first one.

It has also demonstrated the numbing effect on the brain of alcohol. I came home on Saturday night from a heavy barbecue party and simply could not fathom one level. The next afternoon, the solution was almost immediately obvious.

Not bad for a game I got on Thursday afternoon!

Wonderfull game, only dissapointment for me was not enough turrets, no cake, and the song at the end was not a patch on the first one.
