P.S. The standard of image on this forum over the past decade has gone through the roof!

Blimey, thats subtley different from wherre you live now.
Just a bit! I spent 30 years in London, for the last 10 years scraping a living as a muso and mini cab driver. It's why I still have a soft spot for the Ford Cortina. hehe

Dropped means it has fallen off the list of the top 500 most interesting images of the day. When they fall off though, I have no idea how they can climb back on the list immediately higher than the image's highest position. Very odd.

I feel like I should add a picture as to not derail the thread too much, so here, have a diptych.

Really dumb question, but how do you put two photos into one?

Thought you were a former Pop superstar?

More seriously ... which Cortina? Big difference between MkI, MkII, MkIII and later models.

It was a v. poor bright yellow MkIV. (I'd owned earlier versions as a kid). I floundered around London with a Rothmans in one hand and an A to Z in the other. I used to finish a gig in the West End around 2 a.m. and then cab till sunrise, then sleep all day.

Thanks Lloyd, no idea where it was tbh anymore! Not so great for hooning in a Rav 4 that's not yours... I was on best behaviour smile

Haven't posted on here for ages, and I've got 400 pages of photos to look through eek

Here are a couple of pics from a clay pigeon shooting session:

I'm late to the party, but that's utterly ridiculous Mr.Dickinson. clap

In other news, Flickr's 'Explore' is so random. I went from #31 to #7 down to #8 and then I dropped off of Explore all together. No problem. Then yesterday I re-entered Explore with the same picture at #6. confused
Cheers, mostly just a snap that worked out..

I had 6-7 pics on explore in a row last month, then nothing lol. Who can figure it out.

As for landscape shots, put the time and effort into getting to the right spot at the right time and the photo almost takes itself.

It's a local fav for them in that neck of the woods, at least for the 2 months that they can see the sky at night, the rest of the year it's cloudy and either raining or snowing biggrin

On the Explore topic, is it only for pro account users?

It would be rude for me to post on here and not add a pic.

Just testing out a location for an upcoming photo shoot.

Is that Rob Roy caravan park?
It looks like a fantastic place!

I went up there the other week, but decided not to go in. There were many signs saying 'Do not enter' etc. And there was a bloke standing at a house nearby onlooking!

There certainly have been some great shots on here recently. I have to agree though that I feel being in a nicer place certainly helps when it comes to finding locations to take the amazing shots we see on this thread!

Here is a quick snap from my drive to work the other morning.
