This fella landed in the garden yesterday. Crop of a quick snap through the window with a point'n'shoot.



Who's going to tell me what it is? Nearest I can get is a sparrowhawk.

On Sparrowhawks, here's a female in my garden doing what they do best - duffing up other birds (a pigeon that was foolish enough to take a drink from our pond).



Massive crop of a point and shoot so the quality is rather lacking.

And, yes the gardener was given a stern talking to over the length of the grass.
