After a fairly unsuccesful weekend of trying to photogrpah wild boar (amongst other things) in the Forest of Dean - I saw almost nothing in the end - I was pleased to find that at least the remote camera I'd set up had managed to capture some:

Not great quality, the cam is a few years old now, but it works and did a better job than I did after hours of walking
Got a few more videos but they were either very short or the quality was massively affected by very heavy mist in the mornings.

Went out again on Sunday to find some of these elusive reptiles... adders. At one point I was kneeling down in an area maybe 20 sq ft, with five adders basking in the sunshine around me. Worryingly, as soon as the sun went in, they'd vanish. So it was a case of being very watchful when the sun appeared, as to where they'd slither back out again!

Taken with a Canon 7D and either 100-400mm or 500mm + 1.4TC. I find them fascinating to watch and would have liked to have photographed them all day, but the sunny day forecast turned out to be rather wet. As usual.

I feel like I have spent my whole weekend in fields this weekend. Here's a Horsey from today.
