^^^ The second one has come out nicely Jeff! What are you shooting with?
7D MKI and a canon 70-300 (not an L). Stopped relying on the stabiliser and started using the tripod again, the first one I could not get around it to get the sun at a better angle. The macro on this is not as good as the sigma I had but the sigma was hopeless at distance and auto focus. I am still learning my way around the 7D but post processing with a few programs.... well... had to be done.

Good stuff. There are a few good macro shooters on here so try the macro thread if you need any advice smile

Great shots guys. I want to go photography stags. I'll have to Google where to go in the South East. I think it's Ashridge.

Had a first crack at some macro shots yesterday but found focusing a challenge with such a shallow DOF (pictures are handheld in low light)

I was going to post picture of a deer I took in Hatfield forest and then I saw the deer pics above and started feeling a bit....

what can I say? It was dark, a manual lens, I only went for the trees, it took me by surprise and vanished just as quickly biggrin

Anyway, glad I popped in here. Some stunning shots.

So, longshot, but worth a try! I'm off to Minsmere on Sunday for a dawn start, fingers crossed for Bitterns, Otters and god knows what else. Anyone interested?
