This woolly jumper decided that the grass was greener on my side of the fence this morning and jumped across from her field to have a look. She then took fright and jumped across my wall onto the main road next to my house causing cars to screech to a halt. By chance a passing Police car (how often does that ever happen?) stopped and the two PCs got out and herded her back to her field. A happy ending I'm pleased to say:
After spending quite a few weekends wandering round the New Forest,i finally got to see my first Red Deer Stag.So chuffed as i had given up for the day and had a fair hike back to the car before the light went. Not the best shot but at least i now know where they are, will be up early tomorrow and have another go

While we're on the subject of deer, took this a couple of weeks ago but have only just got around to it.

Anyone got any idea on the ID of this fungi?

Nice pics (two below are good too). Pretty sure the second lot are parasol mushrooms (possibly shaggy parasols). Common parasols are very good eating, think shaggy parasols can be a bit iffy though Shaggy Ink Cap by dogsey, on Flickr

More fungi, it's beginning to become a bit addictive finding them!
