Ah I see. As the track drops down you can get a shot at 'ground level' like that from shooting with a long lens. The 300mm with 2x extender will be coming in useful biggrin

I've gone with the 70-200 in the end, but i'm also having the 1.4 extender so i should get the range. I'm only intending to really shoot on the friday and saturday, i think i'll just sit back and enjoy the race from my grandstand seat without worrying about it on the Sunday.

Skip to 0:14 and pause. That grass area you see in front of the grandstand on the top left of the frame is where I took this photo from, where the vodafone advert boards are.
I get ya, ta - quite convenient as i've got Club grandstand tickets and will be camping at Woodlands which I think is over that way too.
