Tidal Force by ScottAMurray, on Flickr

Brief gap in the crappy weather so I went down to the coast for sunset. Rather bored of wide angle seascapes but with these conditions and locations I couldn't resist taking this photo.

lol!

Yes, I feel the same. When I was having a play with the processing I got it to the point where I thought "oh dear... I've gone too far with this one.. but I like it!"

Thought I would throw it out there!

Borrowed Light by ScottAMurray, on Flickr

I considered making this one a black and white image, but i dont think it quite works without the reflected colours of the sunset in the flowing water and rocks.

Pot luck that I got this. Heard something meaty in the distance, quickly changed the settings in hope it'd come my way and grabbed this biggrin

I'm surprised it hasn't been said already, but that's a cracker. You can't ask for better lighting than that.

^ Get's bridge- wasn't anticipating that when I saw the ominous clouds at the top of the page, then I started scrolling and... Oof!

Didn't really expect to see any aurorae on Sat night but went scouting nonetheless. Had they been visible at such a low latitude, I think my vantage point near the top of the South Downs would have helped me find them*. Instead, this:

10 mins total exposure time (multiple frames stacked)
ISO2000 & f/2

* I'd expect to be viewing further round to my left on a Red Alert night and besides, I've massively emphasised the glow on the horizon in this shot.

A real marmite paint job, personally I think it works really well in the air just not so much on the ground or LL. Still great to see though!
