I thought the last few releases were September/October, with high demand and low supply.
Might get a 3+ black then as argos has it for £269 atm. Also need it for August.

I got one that looks like it is exactly the same design in NY at Easter - think I paid about $12 for it and it is pretty good. There are probably better solutions out there but for the money, it does me biggrin

Just checked mine and it's the Gopole Grenade Grip - I didn't pay $24.99 though. Maybe it was $19.99 which equates to about £12 which is probably why I had 12 in my head biggrin

Get one thumbup

Just get the Hero 3+ now. You'll have some time to play around with it and decide what accessories you need, etc.

Iv tried to do a price match so hopefully can get it for £250 ish. Don't think I will be able to get a 4 for that price.

I think I need the bobbler and then an extending pole.

But not sure whats the best one ?

I like the Gopole Reach but it seams pricey

How about the Dive Buoy? The end cap is removeable so you can use it for storage of small items and keep them dry...

That's a silly cheap price for the SanDisk, just make sure it's genuine. SanDisk are one of the most faked cards out there ;-)

Hello chaps

My Hero3+ silver is great, but it always focus the back of my seats when I'm doing onboards.

To make matters worse, the road (the whole outside of the car really) is always over exposed, to the point that one cannot even tell if the next turn is left or right.

Is there anyway to fix this or cheat the automatic settings?

Have you tried using the Spot Meter?

Yeah try spot metering. From a photography/videography perspective, having really dark and really light areas in the same picture is never good news.

Like Boro has just said, see if the spot meter is turned off, turn it on and see if it makes a difference.

October 2014 for gopro 4 ?

with all the issue the 3 had, I keep putting off buying the 3+

are people 100% happy with the newer 3+, I have borrowed a 3 and it was a dog on a unit.

Historically GoPro have released new models in October, so that's still my guess.

Most of the Hero 3's problems were caused by SanDisk memory cards not performing to spec. A couple of firmware updates and now the Hero 3 is super reliable, on the right memory card. GoPro learned a valuable lesson with the Hero 3 and that's to test memory cards and don't just expect a high-end manufacturer class 10 card to work properly. Hence the new recommended list, which still includes SanDisk but didn't for a while but they upped it to the Extreme.

If you're friend still has a Hero 3 issue, I'd buy a better/genuine memory card and update the firmware. That solves 90% of the issues.

Warranty replacement is pretty good really. We've had a handful of Hero 3+ issues and all been replaced by us on the same day and then forwarded to Madison to sort out at their leisure. Usually 1-2 weeks.
