For diving you'll have a massive range of mounts you can use.

Floaty Backdoor
Tethers
Filter(s)
Handgrip
Pole
Chesty
Headstrap + Leash
Double Tray
BCD Mount

It depends on the POV you want but the best videos to watch will have a couple of different POV's making it easier to watch back.

I found a pole best for diving....allows you get to get close to fish/etc while keeping your distance and not scaring them......also easy to get selfie shoots and put you in the action.

Get an extendable and you can always shrink it down to a hand grip too.

I didn't do floaty as i like it hanging down when not in use.....just keep it tether to your wrist.

No, it's just a cheap lapel mic with 5m lead off eBay with the gopro mic lead connector.

The mic lead is taped to the bodywork, fed under the rear engine lid and positioned behind the VRM plate.

It was just a rough test & think an additional wind sock/cover may be helpful smile

That's pretty much the setup I use, only I use two cheap lapel mics with a 2 x mono -> stereo adaptor, and I also have furry covers.

Got a diving trip coming up soon. Any recommendation for a good mount to use?

I've already got a handheld floaty thing. Head harness?

yeah I understand that, but the stock housing is closed, you have something like this to insert the microphone connector?

Coming soon...

We've tried a few different dog harness mounts and never really found anything that worked that well, so hoping this is as good as it looks!

Hi All

I fitted my battery BacPac to my go pro3+ today to test the battery length, after a little over an hour of it recording I happen to touch the BacPac and it was so hot I thought it was going to melt !!!!

The GoPro was not in a case and just left on a shelf and a room i would not describe as hot, but just warm.

Any Ideas?

Day 2 of a family holiday and tried the gopro in the pool with the waterproof housing - I now have a ruined gopro as the housing has leaked.

Not impressed.

I had a similar thing last year in Egypt. My Panasonic "waterproof" camera wasn't. It lasted about 2 days then went tits up. Ruined the holiday if I'm honest as I couldn't film any of my dives or visits to water parks.

I upgraded to a go pro straight after and touch wood no issues yet. Off to Egypt in November again diving so hopefully no such issues again.

Sand in the seals? Or just not shut properly?

I would return the housing to the dealer and ask them or GoPro to leak test it. If the housing is faulty you'll get a replacement no questions asked.

May just add a head strap then. It'll record what I'm looking at that way. Already got a hand grip floaty thing smile

It's not been near a beach, just in the pool.

Definitely closed properly - I'd say it was very difficult to not shut it properly?

Purchased in NY so no chance of taking it back there - have emailed GoPro and am awaiting their reply.

Wouldn't mind so much if it was the last day of the hol but it's extremely annoying that it happened right at the start frown
