That could be good. I've been hanging on all year with my 2 waiting for the 4 to come out in time for a US trip at the beginning of November. Mrs HJ bought a 3+ from Amazon a couple of days ago as a reserve option, as stocks seem to be low everywhere (in anticipation of the 4 being announced?) so it'll get returned unopened within the 28 day window if the 4 is out and available.
What's the source?

Using mine for a kayaking event on Saturday. Got a floaty hand hold and a suction pad. Any tips on capturing footage, ie settings etc as I want to make a fun vid as its a joint kids/adults birthday party style day.
Try and use as many angles as possible would be the main thing, it doesn't take long for the same shot to become a bit stale. Also use unusual locations to film from, down low, up high, side on etc etc angles which you wouldn't normally see in day to day life.
I always tend to film in the highest resolution with the highest frame rate, but depending on the size of your memory card and the light conditions adjust to suit.
Worth making sure (if you haven't already) that the case is water tight without the GP installed as one poster unfortunately found out his wasn't earlier in this thread.

I'd be really impressed if they managed to squeeze a decent LCD screen on the back without losing the current battery format.
I'm not convinced by the pics either lol.

Haha, it's looking like they have! Although the battery compartment looks like it's moved to the bottom on the camera. Still impressive though to fit that all in. Shame the rumour that the Black Edition isn't going to have the LCD built-in though.V8A*ndy said:
Exciting times haha. Our stock will be with us next week and is available for pre-order right now ;-)GoPro 4 looks impressive but I still find it annoying that you are required to buy a lead for £32.99 to allow you to charge the GoPro and run an external mic at the same time. Plus the added £38.99 for a skeleton case so you can plug the cable in.... and the fact they have dropped the motorsport edition so you have to buy the mount separately. I am getting really bored of GoPro charging a fortune for accessories. Also disappointed there is no built in telemetry in the new version.
My GoPro 2 is getting a bit old and keeps randomly crashing so I will probably have to invest in a new one, although I am looking at the possibility of a lens kit for the new iPhone 6 to give the same FoV as a GoPro as an alternative.
I wonder whether the bluetooth in the new Hero 4 will allow the pairing of a bluetooth microphone. That would save me spending over £80 extra with GoPro just to connect a microphone.

Most of the GoPro mounts and accessories are coming down in price and some by quite a way. Previously the Skeleton Housing has been £49.99 and they dropped the Suction Mount in the Motorsport Edition back when the Hero 3 came out.
I think the Silver would do for most people but it seems the Black is still going to be the most popular version. It think the entry level HERO will do well at Xmas though.
