That doesn't mean that spending money on better lens wouldn't open up new shooting opportunities and improve the existing ones.Faster lens would allow shallow depth of field in posted photos, this would make them better by making the background less distracting.
You are more then welcome to show me how to achieve that with a kit lens at f/5
