Why are there so few car photographs?

Hi everyone! I've been without a camera all year but borrowed a friends simple 1100d for the BTCC final at Brands. I'd sold all my canon gear so all i had to use was a couple of old M42 mount lenses with an adapter - a 58mm F1.8 and a 200mm f2. These are old dinosaur lenses and meant i had to manual focus etc all day but was good fun after such a long break from anything like this. Here's some of my results. I must buy a camera soon but I'm holding out to get a 5d mk2 I think as I'd like full frame.

It was quite a challenge getting anything usable but I do like the indescribable character of these old lenses.

Cheers, the surface didn't look too bad when I was there but I didn't want to stay too long as I've taken the piss a bit recently being out on events and thought it wise not be out that long.

Here are some rallying snaps i've taken over the last few years.

Some ok, some not!

They were taken via a Panasonic DMC-FZ45 bridge camera. I'm still learning how to get the camera set up to take different types of shots - fast moving objects i'm mastering at the moment! Although, the camera only seems to come out when i'm attending motorsport events.
