While we're talking about lighting cars at night, here's another way.

This is multiple frames each lit with one or two flash heads and then layered together.

Came across this very nice looking 991 Turbo S Cabriolet. Happend to have a camera in my hand so I took a photo, but of course it was just a boring snapshot. The car was perfect in focus though, so I tried to make something more appealing out of it! Took me a couple hours but what do you guys think??

Little bit of Friday viewing! Shot these pair during a road trip Germany to Italy and back; frantic stuff but got the chance to stop at some nice spots....

Having looked at it a few times I agree. The over all effect is interesting and appealing in my opinion.

To be very picky there is a slightly odd light coloured square over the pedestrian in the blue jacket just above the rear of the car - some sort of processing oddity by the look of it - and the major foreground object removal has left a slight strange looking kerb but nothing that could not be enhanced if it was for payment! (assuming suitable skills - not something I would be likely to get right!)

For a snap shot it gets very close to something that be taken to be a set up shot.

Stuart, its exactly the same principle as when I lightpainted your car:

You get a different effect with a black car as just the highlights show up but otherwise the same thing.
Yeah figured it was, just thought someone may have some more info on technique, equipment etc...

Liked your 'best of 2014' Vimeo BTW smile
