Why are there so few car photographs?

A lot of making that car 'pop' was in the planning to be honest, positioning the cars, distances, time of day. Considering the time I had and the brief I was given, I was happy with the outcome. Not how I would have done it with full-control but sometimes you can only work with what you've got!

I've tried dabbling with composite CPL shots before but can never quite achieve the same effect. My reflection correction skills aren't anywhere near where they should be!

It's technically satin-pearl grey paint - fantastic to photograph to be honest, especially at night.

I think the key with the CPL is to take 4/5 frames and stack them, ensuring you get plenty of overlap. Shooting on an overcast day helps even more as any reflections will be even/flat rather than stand out. The satin paint in this case definitely helps though as all you have to worry about is the glass!

The cleaning isn't really my own handywork unfortunately :P

Same dealer, shooting some of their 'classic' stock at the moment. Bit of a pain to edit (the reflection means you're effectively cleaning up the car twice!) but the results look better than the yard they were using before. Plus I get to stay dry! Pity they won't let me take them somewhere nice though.
