Why are there so few car photographs?
Discussion
I have been trying out taking some of my photos and using PS to give a more 'art' look to them - thinking that they may look good as mini-posters or a canvas type print...
What are peoples thoughts - do you like them or am I out on a limb here :-)

Really don't have much skill with the camera just yet, but I do enjoy trying! Pretty clueless in taking original artistic shots, mine are typically bog standard.
Not much going on, but I love the slight haziness
Again, nothing special but I like the differences in the sky
Like the light on the first Ka shot. Perhaps if you cropped a little off the right hand side so the Ka was approx a third of the way into the image might make it even stronger ?Not much going on, but I love the slight haziness

I think what Blukoo means is that the background is all blurred as though it was a slow shutter speed panning shot, giving the impression that the car is travelling at great speed. However the wheels are 100% sharp and static and are at odds with the blurred background. There would also be some blurring of the car itself towards the rear of the car if a slow shutter speed was used from an angle (ie not 100% parallel with the car), so overall it doesn't look "natural".

Quicker to spot than either of those on the Bentley shot is the near-static BG through the window.
Oops. It was a quick edit for instagram haha. I'm just experimenting with taking photos and editing and I'm enjoying it, I'm using a cheapy Canon 1100d, i think I'd like to upgrade to a 650d, you reckon that's a good next step? I shoot cars and I want to try some night photography of stars etc.Gassing Station | Photography & Video | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
