Your shoots look like computer game stills these days and I mean that as a large compliment!
Thanks Robbie - just trying to make the work stand out and trying new things! Not to everyones tastes but I enjoy working on them and they make decent posters biggrin
If there's anything I've learnt recently it's that no matter what you do, some will love it, some with loathe it. If you like it then so will others (presuming you're not blind when it comes to your own work which you aren't!). Personally, I think it looks awesome. It has a slight CGI feel due to the dynamic range but I've always thought that works well for car photography. Not a bad subject neither. wink

Lost a bit of sharpness on upload unfortunately, but shot this last night, more as a demonstration to the owner of how to do it... Will likely shoot it again at some point to improve on it!

Bog-standard studio shot of my FD. Really struggling to find the time to do this set justice at the moment.

Nice George. All of the Fstoppers writers had to pick 5 photographers they admire the other day for an upcoming article and your name came up a couple of times. It's great to see how many top photographers have almost a map of their career on Pistonheads!

Some fantastic photos posted on this thread which really are quite inspirational, so I thought I would lower the tone by posting a few photos I took last night at the classic and sports car meet held at the Griffins Head pub in Papplewick.

Now these next two photos I'm in a dilemma about as to which is the better focal point to focus on, the gauges or the Cobra steering wheel boss? I'm leaning towards the gauges but not so sure!

I would have said the gauges every time ... everyone can recognise a steering wheel and Cobra emblem even when they're a bit blurry so these elements don't need to be the centre of attention... but then I noticed that by focusing on the gauges it allows that eBaytastic V8 badge stuck on the glovebox to become sharp focus and that's quite upsetting

Gauges. The hint of a steering wheel builds the excitement about getting behind it and brining it into focus.

I'm not sure if I've posted these here before, but if anyone fancies having a pop, constructive criticism etc (it's all good for learning!) please feel free.

It's motorsport season again now and I want to get better! I know the compositions could be more interesting, but if these are in any way any good it was more luck than judgement. So the next time I'll have to rely on actually knowing what I'm doing!

Thanks guys for the feedback, must admit I thought the gauges looked better as the focal point but wanted some feedback from more experienced users on here.

The next Griffins Head meet is this coming Sunday (24th April) so hope to take a few more photos if it's warm, dry and sunny.

Nice clean shots. Are they studio lit or are you a genius in post processing?
