Just a snap (hotel car park this morning)... and a question

How do Lambos get away with having no front reg plate? (I know there is nowhere to for them go, but same goes for Caterhams, but we have to do it).

Nice clean shots. Are they studio lit or are you a genius in post processing?
Thanks, these are indeed studio-lit (two light set-up for these ones). You could do it in PP - these have taken a fair amount of cleaning anyway.

As far as I know, they don't. They'll get a £60 fine if the fuzz notice and decide to penalise them for it, but it seems to be rare to get a penalty at all and there's no points for it anyway. I can't say I approve but I doubt the owners care about my opinion or a £60 fine every so often.

Great pic by the way, I love the purple SV.

Most of these look like you have just walked up to the car and taken the photo, except the Aston/BMW one, which has much better composition.

I agree, the Aston and BMW shot id the best of those there. The problem with the others is, as Crikeybaby said, that it looks like you just wandered up and took a photo of exactly what you saw. The perspective of all of them save the Aston & BMW is the same, once you've seen the first picture the others don't really offer anything else.

Stunning photo of the mountains, but what's with the cars in the foreground? OK, only kidding, did you take any more photos of the yellow Aventador because it looked gorgeous what with the morning dew rolling off the windscreen. Tell me you took a few more pics of it?

As for the number plate question, technically all UK cars need a front plate or risk a fine, but with so few police in the roads nowadays this regulation is rarely enforced, aside from which it is a Lamborghini so all is forgiven smile

Looks like someone ticked all of the option boxes and a few more besides. Full bling mode.

Presumably the first owner had it fully rustproofed as well - or never took it out of the garage.

I seem to recall that they used to start serious rusting away within about 5 years even if well cherished.

Nice to see it!

I was busy dog walking, so no. Too many Lambos, Porkers and Fezzas here at the moment, 10 a penny. There was however, another chap taking photos, I bet he was a PH! (I asked him - rather disparagingly - if it was his pink Aston, luckily it wasn't).

I assume the Aston has been wrapped?

Surely no one would have painted one that colour .... would they?

Well, I don't want to be "genderist" and in any case around here over the years we have seen a number of unlikely cars (usually shopping trolley type although there is an old Caddy) in the pink. Painted in those cases.

But that seems to have been a tradition that predates "wrapping". And I think the most exotic I can recall, other than the huge Caddy, was a Boxster of unidentified age.

I have no problem with pink it that's what someone wants ..... provided it can be peeled off when the time comes to move on.

Or at least that is what I keep trying to tell myself .....

These 2 are quite famous/infamous and certainly more exotic than a Boxster!

True but they are not, AFAIK, local to me.

I have a vague memory of seeing a pink Aston a few months ago. Vague because it's not really the sort of thing one wishes to remember - indeed it would be better to actively purge the memory ASAP.

There was a Bentley in the paper last week - apparently decorated by a recognised artist and to be sold at auction for charity .... or something like that.

I thought it looked distinctly embarrassing for all concerned.

Only part of it was pinkish. Might have been better if all of it had been pink.
