Why are there so few car photographs?

Got my first proper camera ever, picked up a Sony A7 IV w/ the SEL2870 kit lens. Was a bit excited and couldn't sleep so went out in the Pista and took a few shots at a local Shell. Played with them a bit in Lightroom, relatively happy for my first go!









Critique welcome, not sure if I've over edited or not - just getting into the swing of things!

The lighting on the 2nd pic is very good!
I wouldn't say over edited at all.
Lightroom is really good, you can download some presets and have excellent results.

Glancing through some of the pages here it seems we all have different ideas on a "good" photo. And it takes a good camera to take a really good photo is what I mean. Aperture, depth of field, speed, etc all come into play. I don't think these two are really what you are looking for, but you are welcome to criticise.

Just for you, Derek, I was intending to stop at Coffs on the return a couple of days ago and take some more but (a) it was lashing down and (b) there was a delivery truck parked in front of the banana!

You’ll have to make do with a Porsche and lifeguard tower shot instead - there’s probably more of these around - but it’s still yellow…
