I was shooting smaller dogs running through those flowers and even though I was using probably the best gear possible for the job (1Dx and 70-200 f/2.8 IS) still only ended up with I think three shots out of over 150 that had focus where I wanted it to be The results were much better for a close up portrait:

I can finally share the good news - this photo has won me the Kennel Club's 2014 UK Dog Photographer of the Year title for Dogs at Play.

Wow, thanks. I was just mucking about one evening at home with a speedlight and soft box and managed to get that. Never done anything like that before so very pleased with them. I am normally an outdoorsy action shot type of guy so big departure from me.Have another.
