As this is the P&V section - does anyone have any tips for taking photos of black dogs? This is one of my better photos of Amber the Golden-Doodle

It looks OK as it was taken in the woods, but in anything like bright sunshine she turns into a black dog shaped silhouette!
Doesn't help that her mate Alf is a Labrador and getting a nice shot of them together seems very much luck more than judgement at the moment!


Is the trick just not to take photos of her in bright sunshine?

Maybe just a little Post Processing. Even better results when working with the original (RAW) file.

Went out for a hike this weekend and took this of my old girl (alaskan malamute).
