That top one looks like it was taken on the 5th August 1940. The second is WW1 Turkish Army HQ Protection Company and the third looks like Roy Phillips, 2nd Lieutenant 48th Battalion.

Heard something go with an almighty thump on our kitchen window. I then launched myself upstairs to see this Sparrow Hawk sat on our bridge hand rail:




It then moved off the rail and into the corner of the fence, screeching ensured before being shoo'd away by my mother:

It's now found some better shelter deep within our hedge row; Although shocked, it did seem to be in a pretty good state walking about:
