I have the phantom 2 with the smaller hole. The newer phantom 2 has a larger hole in the bottom for the h33d. There are dji adapter mounts so the h3 3d will fit.

Hey Andy, from what I've been told it's more than simply making it fit. If that was the case it would just need a few washers to pack it out but I've been told the circuitry on the Phantom 2's that come with the H3-3D Gimbal is different and designed to work with the Gimbal whereas the older Phantom 2 wasn't designed to work with the 3D Gimbal so may not "just work".

Because the standalone H3-3D Gimbals aren't available yet, it's impossible to say but that's the feeling.

:-(

Works fine...... only difference is the hole to fit the third axis motor....

I'm just looking the gimbal (phantom only version) and the adapter kit. A lot of people have Dremeled theirs out but I'd rather just get the adapter kit.

I've got a Phantom Vision coming! Picked one up off ebay for a good price.

Being a photographer in time I'd like to upgrade to something capable of taking a better camera but thought this would be a good starting point.

Make sure you read up on the CAA rules. Things become very restrictive once you start recording or taking pictures.

I'm actually thinking of going for a S1000 with a Panasonic GH4 and them sitting the CAA exam.

I've a disability though, so might not work out.

Anyway have fun. They are great bits of kit.

Do you have a link to the adapter kit available anywhere else?

Has anyone any experience of the Rotorpixel gimbal on a Phantom 2 Vision?

I've not even got mine yet (it's due for delivery tomorrow) but am planning upgrades already

Not in the same league as the big boys toys here, but I thought I'd get a cheap one to learn how to fly before I blow loads of cash.

Very short clip from the Hubsan X4 with the 2mb HD camera to show image quality. Colour is a little blue, but image itself is surprisingly crisp.

My dog hates it.

ETA: It's tiny BTW

I've got the Phantom 2 with the 3d Gimbal with noise depressor and iosd mini and downlink. I think this is a great bit of kit. I was using a go pro silver, and recording in 1080p, but I craved better resolution so bought a Hero 3+ black. Now this is where my problems have started, I don't have a clue what settings to set the GoPro to., it's really getting frustrating, recording in 4k seems a bit jerky, 2.7k is better, but what I would like to find out is the optimum setting. I obviously don't want to put it to 1080p as that would defeat the object of me getting the 3+ black.
I am sure there must be some GoPro experts reading this, any tips? Cheers!!

A vid I did over the weekend:-
