it's all autonomous - you set the waypoints in the groundstation bit, set all heights and speeds etc and then press go. If you haven't took off yet it will take off by itself to the programmed height then head off to waypoint 1.
What I would like to see is where you can set which direction it points in when travelling to each waypoint.
You might want to travel North but be facing East to do a nice smooth panning shot of something.
I've got a feeling this will be available soon in an update though

Cheers Andy, yes we used the Black Pearl Monitor/Receiver. Managed to smooth it out a little more this morning in editing (frame rate issue). The FPV makes it so much easier to frame the shots and make sure you're panning smoothly and not too fast. Usually when the quad is in the distance it's difficult to know how fast it's panning or which direction you start/stop.

Really wanted to fly right out to Gul Rock but got a little nervous being that far out over water. Maybe next time I'll pluck up the courage lol.
Yeah I can definitely see the advantage to that setup. It's quite difficult to see on my phone!

I tried to spot you on the video but couldn't see you, so presume you were quite some distance from it already? Or did you just do a good job of not getting in the shots?

We were in some of the shots we filmed but edited them out, the rest, as you say was quite some distance from the camera so we weren't visible.

Ah ok very good, you've got some pretty good scenery to get shots of, look forward to seeing some more stuff.

Nice vid but that's some seriously depressing music to it wink
Haha! Yes it isn't the best. Found it on a royalty free site. Did another version for friends with better music but youtube would have blocked it.

Here's the Vimeo version which plays on mobile devices and has a slightly better bitrate :-)

Nice video.

Which vibration mounts are you using? I'm using the default white ones but have noticed a little vibration creeping into some of my videos.

Noticed your gimbal seems a little out on the roll axis on a couple of the shots. Mine has done that a few times too! Recalibrating on a flat surface has helped.

What setting is your GoPro on? I've been using 1080 Medium or 720 Narrow to remove a little fish eye and helps keep props and legs out of shot.

Vision2+ has it's own camera, not sure you could lift an eos M with a phantom, you may need a bigger hexacopter for that, built up with Naza GPS and FPV

Sorry yeah meant the phantom 2, looks like I'd still need a flame wheel level qc

I'm getting used to my vision and in time hope to do the required bits to do commercial stuff and buy something like an s800 to carry a bigger payload.

Doesn't look like a 450 or 550 would be much more than a phantom to build?

Looking at how they go together doesn't look too bad to build either.

I've a friend locally whi builds em too...

Anyone else got any video's they want to share?
This is a short video I shot yesterday when I went out exploring to find the aqueduct on the canal nearby. It was a beautiful still day, so no excuse for my jerky panning. smile

How are people transporting their Phantom's?

I'm loathed to pay £250 for the 'official' case...just wondering if anyone has found any alternatives?

There's a similar one on ebay for about £85 I think, so might just go for that
My main storage / transport solution for the entire kit and kaboodle is a couple of waterproof plastic cases with pre-cut foam sections from seller "trifibre" on ebay.
Eg. of the quad case before I'd pulled out the cut outs for battery storage:

When I want to travel light and just pop out with the quad, controller, screen and batteries then I use my Lowepro SLR camera rucksack.

I installed the rotorpixel gimbal on my vision last night, fantastic improvement and being able to shoot vertically downwards is a vast improvement for stills.

Finished the iPad Mini FPV Mount this morning. The regular Monitor Mount in the pic needed a little modification to incorporate the Wifi Extender on the Vision and Vision+ Transmitter but works a treat!

So, I'm a landscape photographer, and this is my first landscape off my Phantom Vision.
