Lipos should be storage charged if not used for a bit. Its the same for all of them not just Phantom batteries

Check this out for storage temps too

Interesting ... this would imply that Lipos are best stored in a fridge?

Or am I misinterpreting that information?

my overall picture is that Phantom is still ahead of the game so have bought a standard P3 for £468, not looking to fly more than 1km away and footage viewed on YT will more than do the job for my project, should be here in a week fingers x.
Where did you get yours from? I had a "Slippers and Smellies" delivery from Santa so I need something to cheer me up.

That's exactly why I bought myself a Phantom 2 in January - and as my 40th birthday present.... biggrin

only the lowly standard but if the image quality is as good as the vision 2 + then i'll be happy enough, if slightly better then a bonus.

Itching to get my Phantom 3 out for a flight, it's been about 2 months now since I last flew it.

Not a phantom but a DJI Hexacopter and its been far too long since I last flew. Making do with building a 250 FPV racer 😊

None of the ones I've seen seem to appear to show the rate of descent slowing down drastically enough to guarantee no damage to the phantom. I think I'd rather take my chances smile

I'm seriously considering purchasing a Dji Phantom 3, probably the advanced model, however before I do I'm trying to do all my homework, therefore does anyone have any recommendations for any particular forums, Google throws up lots US sites but there doesn't seem to be any UK specific ones. Thanks in advance.

Full specs against the other models are here:
http://www.dji.com/products/compare-phantom

Looks identical to the pro but with a shorter distance Wifi video link instead of lightbridge!? They've used the same camera as the Advance and Pro so not sure why it's called "4K"???

Looks like you trade lightbridge for the 4K camera(?)

The Phantom 4K also comes with a slower charger - 57w compared to the 100w with the P3P. They are also limited to 120m high - this can't be changed in the go app.
