ETA Why do Youtube make my smooth shots jerky! Gits.

YouTube compression and jerkyness is terrible.

I'm going to start playing with a few codecs and see what difference that makes.

Use Vimeo, they tend not to absolutely crucify video.

They don't give you much space for free though. £160 for pro frown.

Could it be a frame rate issue? Do you shoot at 25fps? When you upload it to YouTube it has to convert it to 30fps causing the skipping you are seeing

Doing some practice shooting vehicles. It's a lot trickier than buildings!

You need to install the optional sliding boot floor!

Well as recommended by others in this group, I have managed to successfully pass the classroom element of the PFAW route with Resource group. Now need to get in some proper flying practice and create my Flight Reference Cards next.

Just wondered if anyone else has gone down the route of getting a Spectrum Analyser? As I fly a Phantom 3 it has a function in the app showing activity on various channels and and the ability to change accordingly, welcome others thoughts before I spend another couple of hundred pounds....

I'm just ahead of you, flight assessment next month. The Resource Group do like you to have a Spectrum Analyser as a stand alone piece of equipment. I think I paid about £80 off EBay.

change frequency on what exactly ?
the transmitter/receiver frequency ?
if so, then this should be automatically frequency hopping - pretty much all others do!
have to say I am not au fait with all of DJI stuff tho'

I had one of the very early DJI iOSDs when they came out about 4 years ago and that used to like logging GPS data off of the coast of Ghana

Im not 100% sure they do that as most of the world shoot 25fps. I have ripped several UK videos off you tube and my edit system says they are 25fps.

I believe videos uploaded at 24, 25, 29.97, and 30 fps will playback at the same framerate as uploaded.

They just started supporting 48fps and 60fps too!

My father and I have just bought a Phantom 4 and we took it up today for the first time... WOW! It's amazing! Lots to learn as neither of us have any drone experience, but have had a lot of fun with it already and got some great shots of the areas in which we live. Can't wait to go out and use it again now! biggrin

I'm pretty sure it doesn't. It just prefers whole numbers (24fps instead of 23.98)

It seems quite random. My latest is pretty smooth - and I did nothing my end any different

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3TUM3cZs-o

ETA: Having said that, it gets jerky at 1:22 (whereas my master version doesn't)
