I bought a Phantom 3 Standard at Christmas and have been bitten by the drone bug, and have decided to "upgrade" to a Mavic Pro. I've only used the 3 for around 5/6 flights and it's in perfect condition; apart from advertising in the PH classifieds, are there any other forum classifieds I could use as I really want to avoid eBay. I've also got a spare genuine battery (unopened) which I will sell separately.
Could be interested in the battery. How much you looking for?V8A*ndy said:

I use an old Inspire and have been happy with that for a while for example, but I still carry an iPhone 4 so I'm not as keen to change just for the sake of it.
My Phantom 2 and gopro will never die I had promised myself an Inspire 2 if my health began to improve but by heck the DNG options are a tad pricey.
Add to that, what should really be a 5 year investment for kit is in reality a 2 year item at most with DJI.
Always interested in becoming qualified but things are afoot. If we all have to take a test then getting commercial might not be such a big leap.
Happy to help fellow pistonheaders, we've had some guys through on our course already.
Goes for kit as well. Can't advertise as you know but call coptrz and outline your from the forum and we'll look after you.
You'll speak to Ryan or Sam, tell them Jon said to sort you the best deal.
Example, we've just moved a few Inspires on to guys going through our CAA course at very attractive prices!
I2 is a little different but if your genuinely interested in CAA training or kit please try us!
Lots of the pilots I know just great the kit as hacks, once you have base Inspire, X5 and a nice Olympus lens, your into triple money to make the next step. Lots of work done today is via P4 and Inspire in UK, makes up most of the profile for the 2300 registered U.K. Pilots. Advice is free if you call us, I'm going to start to rent the Zenmuse thermal camera out if any interest in the near future. Ask about opened I2 as we break seals for static demos but don't fly them after each course. If a course guy doesn't take one they are available for a slight discount time to time afterwards!

I unfortunaltey had to cancel my order for the Mavic that I placed last year.
However I am looking for one again now, in time for trip to Iceland in March.
Looks like the shipping dates keep getting pushed back though and no one has stock?
Does anyone know of any stock, ready to go, of the fly more package?
DigitalRev has them in stock, you'll get in few days. However I am looking for one again now, in time for trip to Iceland in March.

My Mavic arrived just over 2 weeks ago. I've only managed to get out and fly on two very brief flights so far as a combo of poor weather and lack of daylight have fought against me.
So far it's been very easy to fly, but with less that 30 mins flight time total I've barely started to dial in any settings for video and photo.
I'm now looking for some locations that I can drive to this weekend to get some proper practice time in where I can practice both flight and filming. Any suggestions in the South East?
Mine was ordered on the 6th Jan and arrived on the 22nd, direct from DJI.

DJI Store currently states:
Mavic Pro: Estimated shipping: 1-3 business days of order confirmation.
Mavic Pro Combo: Estimated shipping: 7-10 business days of order confirmation
When I ordered they were claiming 10 working days for dispatch and mine was indeed sent 10 working days later.

I put in an order today, but I fly 17th Feb so not overly hopeful it will arrive in time Mavic Pro: Estimated shipping: 1-3 business days of order confirmation.

..or you could convert your Phantom 3 into a Mavic: http://wetalkuav.com/new-dji-phantom-mavic-hybrid-...
So I put the order in 5pm 8th Feb on the DJI site just in case. They were showing 7-10 days for the fly more pack (which I ordered.)
I just got a tracking email from DPD saying I'm due a delivery monday. Couldn't work out who from, luckily I use custom emails for different companies so I worked out it was from DJI.
I've not been this excited for a new toy in years. I'm basically going to spend 2 weeks in Australia shooting epic footage!

Just had an email off Maplins - the Mavic is showing in stock, including the flymore package.
I'm not in the position to buy unfortunately, otherwise I would have ordered one before sharing!

I also started out with a P3S but the bug also bit me, so I've just added an Inspire 1 to the fleet. I was tempted by a Mavic or a P4P but there is just something about the Inspire I couldn't resist!
I think I'll upgrade to the X5 camera at some point.
Very nice purchase.I think I'll upgrade to the X5 camera at some point.
I sometimes work as a drone camera op on some jobs. - The smart design and flight capability of the Inspire, always impresses me!
i was lucky enough to be working in Sweden a few weeks ago, where we go to film some amazing landscapes. Cold was a real issue for batteries- our drone pilot had battery warmers, a cool box with hot water bottles in - which all worked great. But we didn't think about the iPad batteries! the iPads for the controllers, were of course, out in the open elements, and they'd get to 50% battery and cut out. 10 minutes in the car warming up and they were fine again. We ended up gaffer taping hand warmers to the back of the iPads, which kept them working all day.
The X5 camera is well worth it. Its great being able to pop on a longer lens - harder shots to pull off, but tracking shots of vehicles etc, look great with a tighter lens. Also the X5 holds up reasonably well in low lighting - I was surprised. With a fast lens, and pushing the ISO a bit, it coped quite well even just after sunset!
