I've just recieved notification my PolarPro Cinema Series Vivid ND filters for the Mavic are arriving soon. (ND4, 8, 16)
I ordered these before my computer broke meaning I cannot do any sort of editing.
Seems a bit pointless to have them at the moment and going to be a while before the computer is replaced.
Is anyone here interested in them?
Brand new, never used and come with a carry case/pouch.

Very interesting Thread! I'm visiting my sister in the USA and was wandering around BestBuy the other day and came out with an unintended purchase: DJI Mavic Pro!
I've since returned it because I found it slightly cheaper for the Combo package online direct from DJI ($1299) so ordered that; arrives tomorrow.
Having read this Thread though, I'm not going to fly it in the UK. I'll take it to my home in Portugal where for most of the year I might see 2 or 3 people every hour on the coastal cliffs where I walk and cycle. Just need to choose calm wind days.

I'm amazed at the images these things produce.
Such a shame the regulation is becoming so restrictive and that there are so many who insist on behaving like idiots.
Looking at that beach video, I guess that was outside permitted use but the chances of injury must be so slim and certainly not in my opinion irresponsible use.

As is breaching the regulations.
They are looking at regulations again at the moment. My money is on something akin to the USA system where drones will have to be registered and identifiable.
Just narrowly avoided a Phantom that had landed on lane 2 of the M2 motorway into Belfast last night.
The car behind didn't and some guy was trying to run onto the motorway to retrieve it (I doubt it was his just a good but daft Samaritan).
What makes the incident even worse is that there is a restricted flight corridor due to Belfast City airport.
Beginning to think the drone entered the corridor and auto landed.

I'm also visiting the US at the moment (Florida) and have just ordered a DJI Mavic Pro online from Best Buy for collection tomorrow. Decent price compared to the UK and I also had a discount coupon from a previous purchase. Can't wait..!

(That'll teach me) Snapped 1/2 a prop so fell/wobbled about 10 meters onto hard standing. Battery came out/2 plastic covers top of the legs knocked out.
Luckily plastic bits popped back in - and other than a few bits of bark/scuff marks on the feet it was all OK.
So lesson learned - "Don't fly it like you stole it while trying to keep up with your friends Inspire 2 - unless you want to risk smashing it to bits !!"

Seems to be a lot of angry people with regards to DJI's latest update. On a few forums/groups I'm on a lot of people are saying they are going to return Mavic's as they are no longer fit for purpose?? Looks as though if you don't update you get restricted operations! I've not updated mine to the latest as a lot of people say they have issues, mine flys fine as it is so no need to update. Now they are going to force you to do it or almost brick the thing.
I can understand why DJI are doing this but at the same time don't like being forced to do something with something I own.

I haven't ordered one. Got an email off them as I'm on their mailing list.
You should be able to put in a UK address as I've used chinavasion quite a few times.
They are good for returns too as I had a phone break and they fixed it and gave me 12 months warranty from the date of repair which was good as it was nearly a year old when it broke.

Haven't flown my P3A in a while as i had a slight altercation with my house. New props on (carbon as can't get a hold of standard locally)
Not sure if it was just because i haven't flown it in ages but it seemed a bit quieter and quicker to ascend than standard. got 600ft pretty quickly.
I updated my DJI Go app on a nexus 7 i use and didn't get asked to update or re-login, are these restrictions only outside of Europe where the FAA have a presence?
