Some of mine.

1. Britcar night race, Donington. Very pleased with this as it's more or less in focus which is always tough to get right at night, the ambient light hits the car just right and of course both discs are nicely lit up.

2. Kimi at Silverstone. I found a new angle at Silverstone which is always nice.

3. Barcelona 24hrs. I love the natural light and what seems like a bit of an intimate moment between driver and mechanic.

4. Aston, WEC Silverstone. Dunno, I just like it.

5. British GT. Donington. Nice to have spectators in the background. Pretty happy with the pan as panning a car moving away from you is quite difficult as the movement is much slower so requires a very steady hand.

In chronological order:

Iceland - just too many to choose from but being by yourselves on a frozen glacial lagoon is pretty cool:

Mexico - climbing up to the tallest structure in Calakmul and all you could see was endless rainforest with some random ancient pyramids:

Norway - yes the road up to the peak of Dalsnibba was very fun driving

Norway - some colourful warehouses in Trondheim:

And finally a studio shot:

It's funny to see how different people's tastes are smile

For me this photo was definitely "meh" when the two above are absolutely stunning!!

I think for me it's maybe more because of where it is, I love the architecture down at that part of the Clyde, and pass by it most days.

Don't get me wrong, the two above are very nice as well!

I think this is the first year I've actually put any thought into my photography, no where near where I want to be, but getting there. I think the one thing I have been able to learn is to upload only my best pics and not galleries of 100s which people don't look at.

Fairly good year for me with getting published, working with some companies, a media group, and getting an image chosen by Speedhunters!

Not all of it's on Flickr etc, so missed out a lot of stuff, and I feel my later stuff is much better than at the start of the year. Can't wait for 2014, hopefully more work, and finishing my Photography Degree!

Excellent work guys! I love seeing this thread each year, reminds me how much talent there is on this forum, and motivates me to keep trying.

I haven't used my camera for fun nearly as much as I should have done this year, but here are my 5, in no particular order:

1. A friends Corrado VR6, won car of the month on a local forum so I did some shots of it.

Martin's Corrado VR6 - The Elite by Adam Kennedy Photography, on Flickr

2. The tunnel under the Crumlin Road Gaol in Belfast.

3. We got 2 cats this year, this is my kitten at 14 weeks old.

Enzo by Adam Kennedy Photography, on Flickr

4. This car I fell in love with instantly, the Cosmic Girl Diablo. Just saw this angle by accident. I miss that car, made me grin like a kid every time I got in it.

5. Formby Point, a great little spot for landscapes. I love this one as its one of the only long exposures I have done that worked.

What a great start to this thread, quality work!

These are probably my favourites, the first one was a definite selection the others I could spend ages deliberating over so just picked the first four that jumped out at me

IIRC it is the front cover of Landscape Photographer of the year 2013 book. It's cracking!

There's some absolutely stunning shots here, this is surely the most productive corner of the PH forums hehe

2013 has been a great year for me. After a big push to get 'over the fence', I finally got accreditation for a handful of events and really pushed myself to make the most of it. It was a lot of hard work, but I couldn't have asked for more. Hopefully I can keep the momentum up into 2014!

First up is this shot, from March, when I had a wonderful anniversary weekend with this E-type in Exmoor. I didn't do a proper shoot - just wanted to enjoy driving it - but of course I did fire off a few shots....and this one brings back the memories of when everything just came together in that moment. cloud9

E-type by motion_captured, on Flickr

Next up, the Spa 24hrs in July. I didn't get many good shots here, but the colours in the sky coming through the trees and the smooth sweep created by the wide-angle panning motion, made this a memorable one for me.

Total 24 hours of Spa 2013 by motion_captured, on Flickr

This shot is another special one as it was the first time I got a press pass (Modena Trackdays at Spa in July). I tried to wring every last opportunity out of the pass, to get shots like this I couldn't hope to get without it! biggrin

Another from Spa, this time the 6 hours in September. Most photographers had given up and headed back to the pits where there was some light, since it is pitch black pretty much everywhere else on the circuit. I decided to persevere with trying to get the cars lit by the headlights of the one following. Eventually it paid off and I got this shot which came out better than I could have hoped for (despite being a bit soft)!

Lastly, from October, this one is from Autopolis in Japan. I was lucky enough to get a press-pass for this Super-GT race too, and although the first day was rained off I was happy to get this shot of the eventual winner heading out of the pitlane, from behind a Nissan mechanic.

All the best for 2014 and the photo opportunities therein! wavey

1. Red Arrows at Waddington International Airshow. I was just chuffed to bits that I managed to take the shot at all smile

2. Ribble Viaduct in Yorkshire, my first trip out with ND filters

3. A summer evening shot out of my back yard

4. Barbed Winter

5. The most important moment of my 2013, terribly out of focus and captured in low light on a camera phone.

The moment my daughter opened her eyes for the first time at me.

OK, here's my attempt at compiling my top 5. I could spend days whittling down but instead, I have just gone with my first thoughts and picked out these.

This is the shot that I am most pleased with. It was the shot that I had planned in my head before I had got to Cornwall and looking at it just takes me straight back to that beach.

Out of all the FMX I shot this year, I grabbed this from the MX at Canada Heights in Kent, it was a try at something a bit different.

2.
DIRT by Lee Curtis photography, on Flickr

This was the morning view from my only fishing trip this year. I wished I could have been bothered to get out of my sleeping bag at 6am when I first woke up and the view was even better. Still happy with this one though.

I just love this for the subject and the sharpness. A Bald Eagle from a trip out with the kids.
