I'm surprised at just how good it is. its relatively slow but for landscapes that doesnt matter, ][band doesnt come with a tripod collar which is a pain,[/b] I'll pick up a copy one on ebay. Love the IQ, the compactness the zoom lock (until I forget I have it locked..)
Having just looked up the price of said tripod collar I'm not surprised you will be seeking an unbranded version.djsmith74 said:
Another amazing shot. But I have to ask......what?.....how?......looks like a 360 degree pano? But shot upwards?
Yep its a 360x180 pano (or more) but the projection is switched to little planet kinda style.I finally managed to travel far enough north last week to capture a fleeting moment of the Northern Lights.
Although a I was a long way up for 7 days this was the only time it made an appearance, so when my aurora app sent me a notification I left the warmth of the bar and headed out to stand in the middle of a frozen lake in the middle of the night at -20C. Beer jacket kept me warm I think!
This is pretty much how it looks, not fake over exposure like most images you see. Magical in real life and quite an emotional moment!

Please do a series of these and them email me so I can feature it on FS. As someone said, they look like a CGI of some mythical creature. Awesome stuff.RobbieKB said:

Awesome stuff.I finally got to try out some light painting tonight (I know, only 10 years behind the rest of the world). Had great fun playing around with different ideas with a mate and I'm reasonably happy with a few of the shots and techniques that we tried, lots to learn still though and I can see that gear acquirement syndrome is going to kick in!

They look great for a fist attempt Very colourful!
The sky in London tonight was amazing, with a really sinister black haze hanging behind a tangerine-drenched City. I'd have faffed for ages in Lightroom with my 6D to get it looking how I saw it. With the X-T2 I just used the Astia film sim and fiddled with the curves. Amazed at how this thing captures the colours just so.

Just mucking about with the RX10iii at the weekend - the top shot is at 24mm equiv and the bottom at 600. Lots of zooms

Preferable to hitting one. One gull decided to play chicken with my car on a motorway. I thought, it being a bird and all, it'd be good at it, but no such luck. It took the paint off the front corner of the bumper, damaged the headlamp and spread I know not what over the screen. The quantity of obnoxious stuff was tremendous and my wipers could not cope. I had to pull onto the hard shoulder to scrape it off.If only it had just st on the car we'd both have been happier.
