My mate has started managing a band and asked me to come to their EP launch. He then threw in a 'bring your camera' too, as we've all had a hundred times. hehe

I've never done live music photography before; it was tricky. It was in the basement of a jazz club which was tiny, packed, very dark and had a cluttered stage. I can see the appeal though.

I've tried to edit these with some continuity, I hope that comes across!

Apocalypse now

Also took the opportunity to compile 300 frames from last night into a short time-lapse- glad I did as it really shows the intensity & power of the storm. Linky here.

Can't remember another like it (although trying to avoid making contact with the metal window surrounds of a Talbot Samba in a storm-drenched journey home from a mid-80's Grand Prix was, to be fair, scarier).

Nice Steve ,but as my fellow south coaster we like it wet and wild down here. Unlike Andy and far less talented at this night time stuff I just crawled out of my pit to grab this .

It's okay... they were taken standing outside the pub wink
Judging by how late it got dark when I was up that way a few weeks ago, it must have been at chucking out time! smile

We're on our way up to Strathy Point in mid September, Almost equinox-like daylight according to the Google God.

This cat is one that I have been having a long term battle with as he just lets himself in my house and chows down on a free lunch of my own cats food. This shot is from a brief ceasefire today.

Here's a shot that I was pretty pleased with from a trip to Isle of Wight. It was a small stream that was in the Garden of our holiday let. The stream runs down into Shanklin Chine which was a few hundred metres down the road.

Managed to catch this rainbow at dusk the other evening, just after a huge downpour. If the neighbours saw me charging out of the house and down the road with my camera, they must have thought I'd gone slightly mental...
