A few I took around Macclesfield Forest a few weeks back, still trying to decide if I like them.

How the hell did you get the two sets of blades to line up like that?

Afik they have to be like that and in 'time ' to keep the front and rear blades separate

I reckon either he borrowed Mark's Quad 'copter thingy OR Mr. Palmer's chopper and arranged for an over flight OR he's been launched into low earth orbit with camera and kit lens for a Nikon publicity shoot and spotted the Chinook below, grabbed a shot and then cropped like crazy to make it look like he was just hanging around above it somewhere.

It goes without saying that I am probably wrong. However, without seeing the EXIF data, I would favour the Low Earth orbit idea since the DoF has the wave tips looking quite focused ... silly

Haha thanks guys :-)

The low orbit isn't too far away from the truth, kind of!

It was taken from the side door of a Merlin, harnessed in etc. We were orbiting the Chinook counter clockwise with about 300-400ft seperation at a guess whilst they were doing their thing , once they were finished we dropped down to sea level and finished the mission then RTB'd to Ovar.

No, the standard DJI FC200 camera, I stuck with this as it shoots in raw and I do more stills than I do video.
