Taste thing really but personally I'd bring a bit more out of the shadows and do a touch more with the colours and sky - it's a nice sharp image but the colouring is a bit dark and flat for me.
Viewing it bigger is well worthwhile though and I think you've got a decent image there, just needs some fettling.

I agree with tenohfive. There's worthwhile fettling potential in there I think. (At least as viewed on my screen there is).
I think I would start with lifting the darks a tad and reducing the lights over all. Then lift the middle tones and see what that gives you.
I suspect that the middles need a little stretching up and down to deliver a bit more colour separation mostly in the greens to add details.
Something like that.
BTW your EXIF data suggests that one was shot with the 24-105 rather than the Samyang. Both goos lenses. I suspect 14mm would have been a bit wide to get much of the Dam line visible at that distance.
Thanks for the advice chaps - will have a bit more of a play.. and yes i was lying it was the 24-105! I think I would start with lifting the darks a tad and reducing the lights over all. Then lift the middle tones and see what that gives you.

I took a lot of photos at last weekends Red Bull Air Race that I need to dig through in order to weed out the keepers. This one whilst not the greatest photo in the world jumped straight out at me.

Another day, another play with the IR converted J1, this camera is definitely looking like a keeper.

Not something I have ever seen on the Trent. Time trials or is there a mass start?
Presumably the rollover protection is worth having because they race in shallow water?
Time trials, usually running 1 minute gaps. Basically rallying on water.
Shallow water, obstacles like trees and river banks, they're often shifting along at 100mph+ so when things go wrong they go wrong fast! Also if the engine stops then you have no steering...
Quite different to the short-course jetsprints which are more common, but both forms are fun to watch.
