But really excellent when you have something you can release...
True, although I'd like to be able to post up some shots but alas! rottie102 said:

Yeah saw that on FB and really liked it. How come you're not allowed to release it, it doesn't really show anything?
This one is ok!Its more what it doesn't show, looking at the photo you couldn't tell where/what they were shooting from. Which is basically what I'm not allowed to show, I've got an awesome fisheye shot with another spent cartridge being ejected but because it shows what they're shooting from I can't release/post them!

Awesome photo's.
Quick question - how did you take the photo's of the Typhoon's from above - are you also a pilot or similar? You may have answered this before but I haven't been through the whole thread so apologies if so.

Glad you like them! The shot of the Typhoons was taken from the rear seat of a Typhoon inverted above them. I'm not a pilot I'm afraid, just get strapped in and I'm along for the ride! Shooting formation stuff is dead easy to be honest (once you're comfortable working in that environment) - you don't have much control as the formation goes wherever it goes, so you're just left to ask your pilot to do whatever you need them to do to get you in position for a shot. Great fun though, especially if you've got some fuel to burn on the way back!Awesome photo's.

Lloyd - cheers mate, seems to be more widely-used at the moment than it ever has been! Are there any others from the firing that you're able to release?

After much deliberation and looking at various models I decided to try a Pentax K3
Nice to see another Pentax user, as you said it's normally Canon or Nikon everywhere. I picked my Kx on the basis of being able to use my older K and M42 mount lenses, though in truth I've replaced most of them with AF versions. That's not to say the newer AF lenses are necessarily better quality though.Found it.... now which bit do I need?
