Thank you! Hoping to get back down to Santa Pod this weekend for flame and thunder, should be some good shots if the weathers good!

Love this shot, great colours, really calm scene!

A shot from a visit to Polesden Lacey today. Its one RAW shot pushed / pulled for the foreground / sky and then merged (manually), hopefully to give an impression of what the eye saw and not look HDR-like. Any opinions welcomed!

My wife likes horseriding so sometimes I have to come along to her events and take some pictures. Although I find it quite difficult to photograph horses I am pleased with this picture (the rider is not my wife).

Took this one of horses kept on one of two large areas of common land, close to Lincoln City centre, while waiting for the Vulcan to overfly the new Bomber Command Memorial, earlier this month.

My wife's reaction when she saw that link was "Eurgh, i thought that was a cloud, but its got hair on it" hehe

After seeing what some are doing in post processing i am spending a bit more time on images i feel have potential.

This was shot at winkworth arboretum this last weekend. When i took the shot i envisaged picking out the red tree amongst the forest as the sunlight did the same from another angle through the canopy. As you can see from the final image vs the unedited original (its been resized and sharpened for web, but nothing else) I had to work it quite hard to get the look i was going for. Any opinions welcomed... too far? Not worth the time editing?

It looks like it's got potential, and the post version is well on the way. For me though I'd either tinker with WB to bring the yellows/oranges out more, there are a few in the foreground. For that autumnal scene with the red popping into view in the centre.

Not sure if I've articulated myself well there but hopefully you'll get where I'm coming from.

You can go further. I would keep the greens in the foreground to contrast with the reds.

Try a little orton on it too
